It seems to me that Kessler is still trying to find his confidence when he needs to perform. I think he has the potential to grow into the job. I felt he did a much better job in the Capt. America quicklook compared to EDF 2017 because Jeff wasn't constantly giving him shit the whole time. I think he needs a few more chances to stretch his legs like this and /relax/ so that he doesn't feel obligated to force humor, because forced humor always falls flat. I hope they lay off him more in the future so that he can grow faster, and then eventually learn to take the shit after he's already developed a base of confidence.

I definitely got the feeling that Kessler felt the need to try and box with the big boys in that EDF video. It was some vicious circle type shit: Ryan saying something dumb, then Kessler saying something dumb in return, to which Ryan said 'that was dumb', etc etc. Not great to listen to unless you're a bit of a dick.

Jeff, on the other hand, was much more welcoming.
 
I'm sorry but this Rochard game looks like it takes all of the terrible and frustrating aspects of physics puzzles and platformers and crams them together into one game. Not for me at all.

Too be fair, I don't think he caught on to the idea that subtlety was key. He's clearly overly flailing the stick around, aligning the blocks horribly and then is somehow caught off guard when the momentum of a diagonal jump knocks them sideways.

He also didn't realize you should probably create a larger base of two or three blocks, then put one on tops that it wouldn't be unstable.

This game seems cool, but damn if that comment on pacing isn't spot on. Shut up; I want to play.
 
Rochard seems like a game I'd enjoy on handheld. Not something I'd sit down and play on a console.

Would be happy if the team brought it to Vita

edit - I knew the Duke Nukem voice straight away, even before the guys reacted. I have no idea what the guys were talking about when they said it sounded different

That's the problem with EX QLs. You dont hear their real opinions.
 
rochard looks great in my opinion. the music is great. the opening song was pretty cool in a southern rock type way. then later the music turned synth. that song was fucking awesome. i was getting a huge john carpenter vibe from it. hope it releases soon.
 
I honestly can't believe how amazingly shit 'Happy Hour' is, and the fact the 'amazingly shit' is interchangeable with 'embarrassingly bad'. The girl with the huge nostrils is always on, all the fucking time, and has nothing of anything interesting to say about anythiiiiing. I watched a bit with Gerstmann, and the pc guy who has become buff in a contradictory manner playing bets, and listened to simpering giggles from the girls in the background. Honestly. IT.WAS.JUST.AWFUL.

The only good bit was when some creepy guy stood behind Tested's Norman Chan in a distinctly 'I could have sex with you even if you didn't want me to' manner. They were tasting beers or something.
