You're kind of a dick, but I'll reply before meeting up with friends anyway.
One, that you can't tolerate *one* contrarian opinion is ridiculous. Get over it.
I played about four or five hours of the preview build. I'm not sure if the leak was any different.
The gold/black stylization seemed to be masking some poor texture work in the early areas, both the dialogue and the voices (oh god, the voices) felt contextually out of place in a Heavy Rain fashion, and I found myself quickly falling into the same playstyle tropes of the original Deus Ex (tranq, wait for for poor AI to pass out, come outside from wall, tranq the next one, repeat ad naseum), which was fine in the original game but I'm pretty well over it now.
Consequently, I was bored.
The reason I haven't said or written anything but surface-level criticism/commentary is because I didn't play the whole thing.
I put down the build when the game finally started to open up, figuring it was better to wait for the final product, since I would play it regardless of quality. That said, what I played, I wasn't very impressed with, and my comparisons to Prey 2 were in the similarities in gameplay: giving players a dozen options to approach various combat scenarios and choosing which ones fit your style. Strip away everything else about Deus Ex and that's at the core or what makes that game special.
