This guy, Jeff "bought a Japanese future TV that you couldn't play games on" Gerstmann. He sounds familiar.
Yeah, good ol' Jeff "bought Sonic Adventure on XBL despite hating it" Gerstmann.FStop7 said:Is this Jeff "spent $1000 on a Sony Airboard" Gerstmann or Jeff "bought all the Gears of War 3 weapon skins for $45" Gerstmann?

I think from all those I know and heard about, the Star Trek Online LIFETIME subscription beats them all in sheer insanity.
I hope they give Old Republic similar treatment.FStop7 said:You should watch the Set Phasers on Fun series of QLs. It's some of their funniest stuff.

I can't remember at all.LCfiner said:this might be a longshot but do you (or anyone else here) know where I could hear this story from Jeff? (podcast episode or old gamespot show?) because this sounds amazing but I cannot remember hearing this one at all
It was a pretty early bombcast. One of the 2008 episodes.LCfiner said:this might be a longshot but do you (or anyone else here) know where I could hear this story from Jeff? (podcast episode or old gamespot show?) because this sounds amazing but I cannot remember hearing this one at all

Same thing happened to me. I'm sure I'll do better next time but the tutorial is not the greatest.EchosMyron1 said:I don't even mind kinda rushing through a game to see a variety of content for the purposes of a quick-look (which if that's the goal, at least a look at the different classes on the selection screen). It's just the misinformation, and the blaming the game aspect of it that is always lame when it happens. Portraying the decision to suggest the Wizard class and the class itself so poorly throughout the video. I mean he said he got overwhelmed on the first level. By the end of the first level with the Wizard, you have a disgusting amount of turrets. You get enough mana for like 3+ at every choke point, and at that time in the game it's the only defense you build. So it's not even confusing about whether or not you should.
Hearing Brad repeatedly make it seem like the beginner class they recommend was unplayable was just annoying and false.

We've got a few hours of Livestream fun starting in about 15 mins. First hour is open to all, then it's time to conquer the lantern run!
That's a great quick look. Mad props to the developers for being so honest and awesome.TheOddOne said:Quick Look EX: The War of the Worlds - (Jeff/Ryan/Devs - 41:24)
