I think I saw him say "First post!" or something like that in the BF3 OT. Might've been that.

Just watched the Dungeon Defenders QL and that game looks like some broken shit.

Almost the entire QL Brad was building defenses that appeared worthless given how handily he was at dealing with the waves with his sword alone. Then suddenly the game decides to just go from 0-60 immediately and overwhelm him to the point that you really couldn't make out anything on screen.

I'm not too familiar with the genre, but never in the entire Quick Look can you even tell what anything he is building even does(thanks to Brad overpowering everything with his sword anyway), and when the game finally dishes out enough foes for base defenses to finally kick in, they all get cut down without any indication they did a damned thing! I kept waiting to see them in action too! Just awful.

It could have been poor play, but it was obscene how much the game ramped up so quickly. Completely turned me off. What kind of progression jump was that??

He wasn't spending any time upgrading his defenses (he literally upgraded nothing), and he had like 4 towers built by the final waves. I mean he didn't even go around and collect all the mana dropped from the monsters to build what he could have, he was able to handle it in the beginning because he was using his pre-leveled character on the 2nd stage in the game.

It wasn't the game's fault, it was absolutely poor play. Dungeon Defenders is great.

yeah i was surprised as well. seems like one or more of the mods are on a banning frenzy. it's becoming rare to go through a thread without seeing a fair number of people being banned these days.

Haha, what a weird thing to say. But yes, he broke up the BF3 OT (before the OP finished it) to get the first reply, and stated such.

Not sure if that's why he was banned, though.

The last ban I got was for using one of the MK avatars from the OT. The mod kept deleting it without telling me, I thought it was a bug so I re-uploaded it and bam, banned. Apparently it was because Melinas costume was to revealing or something. They didn't even log it either. Bad mod! That's a nono!

The moderation generally does not like it when users discuss why this or that person was banned (with good reason), so I'm sure one of them will quickly intervene* and clarify what happened. I'm also sure that SalsaShark's ban will be a short one; he's generally seen as a "good" user and unless he did something really bad, he should be back soon.

If we're unlucky, a moderator will come in, ban all of us permanently and delete our posts as if we were never even here in the first place.

It's pretty fucking insane. Then again, I don't really care about BF3. When someone does it for Zelda, I'll be less cynical about it. :lol

I have to agree with EchosMyron here. I solo'd the first few levels with the squire over the weekend and it was very easy. Brad didn't spend as much time working on his defenses as he needed to. With a level 8 character it should have been pretty straightforward to get through that map. Minus the ogre. That completely depends on your damage output.

I don't blame him though. It's VERY slow building up your defenses solo. The characters move very slowly in the beginning. Not something that's super thrilling in a quicklook. Might have been better to show the first level as it's more compact and straightforward. Could get a better feel of the game.

It's a mess, that's what it is. If people want to write PR blasts for games they are excited about, maybe they should get someone to help edit them down too.

I was going to a huge The Old Republic OT with crawling text banner and all but when EA decided Australia isn't part of a global launch, I decided they can go fuck them self.
