look pal, i don't know what you wanted out of beyond 2, but expecting a similar game to beyond: origins: deception of duty was a bit irrational. we've tried to produce the best game possible, and i think we've succeeded.

I don't doubt you Brad but I think most of us want to enter Uncharted 3 as fresh as possible. Getting short glimpses in trailers is bad enough, but a 30 minute chunk is something I just want/need to experience myself. Will watch the quick look after finishing the game.

With BC2, having only 24 vs 32 players wasn't so bad & it even was good for less chaotic battles, but this is not even in the same league for BF3.
I'm not a PC elitist telling everyone to get the PC version, but yeah, I do feel sorry people buying a completely & utterly gimped version.

BF3 is one of those "If I had a monster rig"-games I want. The footage that awed me was the PC version, and I'm not settling for the console ports. Not on this one.

playable flashbacks
was news to me. Nothing major, but a little casually thrown in there.

Yeah, I just downloaded the U3 quick look. SUPER artifacted, if this is how they are encoding videos to support 60fps then I would much rather them just go back to the old way they encoded them.

I've almost always had a weird stuttering problem with GB. The videos sometimes just kinda pulse between fine quality and artifacted for part of the screen. Really weird and can get annoying.

I think I heard that in a podcast at some point last week, so it was not news to me.

This quick look is only the second time I looked at a video of the single player (the first being the Jimmy Fallon reveal), and I thought it was a nice section to show off the game without giving away too much info. While people may unfairly shit on Brad at times, he picked a really good part of the game to show off here... although watching it made waiting for the damn thing even harder.

Yeah, that happens quite often, but in the case of the last couple of videos they have put out it just feels like everything lacks sharpness were as when I look back at some older stuff it was mostly crisp. Especially the Game Room quick looks.
 
Yeah, I think it's time for some more inFamous in my life. I hope Festival of Blood doesn't have any spoilers for iF2, I want to play it at some point but would rather wait and just get FoB for now. Bats! O.O

Yeah, something is really off with the encoding of the Uncharted 3 video. Even in HD it looks like it was encoded at a super low bitrate. So many compression artifacts.
 
Hmm, did not know that is stand-alone. Seems like the perfect fit if I am just slightly interested in infamous2, right? Like the theme and presentation.

They openly talk about the end of Uncharted 1 and 2 but the level they show is specifically the one Sony's been showing to the press for a while now (the burning chateau) and outside of discussing a few related-to-that-level plot points in almost no detail at all, it seems more or less free of major, detailed spoilers.

I dunno. It's always kind of hard to judge what people consider "the line" as far as how much spoiler content is too much. If you're anal about being spoiled there are probably a couple little things in this that will bother you.

But they don't talk about plot twists, Brad is hesitant to show puzzle solutions because he doesn't want to ruin the surprise, etc.

God damn it, Naughty Dog. I have that certain phobia that Brad mentions in the UC 3 Quick Look. Going to be a nervous wreck going through that game now.

Same here. Although I don't think a game/movie ever got to me in the past, so I am probably safe.

...I'll probably feel all itchy though :/

Haha. Yeah, it's a pretty unfortunate one to have. I can usually power through if I don't focus on you-know-what too hard, but Brad's ominous "you probably shouldn't play this game" has me worried.
 
gaming with photophobia is kind of a hassle these days with iris lag, bloom and whatnot being in vogue. but maybe that doesn't count :P

You say that as if it was a bad thing.

He's one of the best at QLing, behind Vinny, Dave (why is he not in any QLs anymore?) and Brad (when he's not playing) and ahead of the pitiful rest.
 
Why are almost all of their videos just embedded YouTube videos and not their own video player anymore? Did they make their own video player a subscriber feature or something?

360p YouTube videos look like complete ass.

I like Patrick, but can't stand when he's QL-ing a game he's already played before. Takes all the spontaneity out of the proceeding, by just doing a rapid fire mini review all the way through the quick look. Ideally I want to game to mostly speak for itself in a QL

The All 4 One QL was the worst.

not only do they look like shit but they run at 10fps. unwatchable.
