Literally, before you even start playing the game, it asks you if you want to turn hints on or off. It's not like it's on by default and you have to navigate through menus to turn it off.wolfmat said:I don't get why I have to turn shit like that off, instead of on. Makes no sense to me.

Yeah, I was about to complain about that due to having seen the Quake done today and Sequelitis videos recently, so this shit was particularly fresh on my mind, haha. It's good that you can turn these off completely, they looked pretty obtrusive in the QL.S1kkZ said:you can turn it off.

Yeah modern Sonic bums me out. If I could get the game and only play as classic, I would buy it in a heartbeat.Haunted said:Classic Sonic levels looked incredible. Framerate drops in some parts were unfortunate, but still. Those elements definitely look like the best Sonic platformer stuff in years.
Modern Sonic is meh as usual. I'd buy the shit out of a PC version of just Classic Sonic levels. With modern Sonic this is a maybe when it's cheaper sort of deal.

If you mean YT subscribers, they're listed at 12,825. Averaging the viewcounts for the Quick Looks over the past week (omitting the outlier that is UMvC3), it's a little over 2000 a video. Even assuming 3/4ths of the subs are spambots, there's a bit of a disconnect between their reach and actual views (for reference, CaptainSparklez has 595,000 subs and viewcounts usually level out around 300,000 in a week). I'm especially curious at how long people usually last watching videos since YouTube tracks attention span throughout their duration.luiztfc said:So I've been thinking... how many viewers do Giantbomb have?
There's no way to know how many subscribers are there (I'm one, btw).

But with youtube there's a way to know how many non-subs exist. Let's take the Train v. Zombies Quick Look. Arguably one of the best they have ever done, and although people may not realize this by the title (they should) and the fact that many are pissed with the shitty encoding, it has almost 4 days and only 5,657 views.
And they really should split their channel into one with only intern stuff and other with site stuff. Because right now, if you subscribe to their channel, you drown in videos.

That's true. You played until you figured it out, and if you didn't you kept playing anyway. Oh those were the days.snoopeasystreet said:It's not that they're dumber. They just aren't as bored as we were. If they get frustrated by a game, they can do something else. Back when I got a game, it was the game that I was going to play for a few months so I put up with not knowing what today. Nowadays, the kid will probably just watch a youtube video or something.

No, they're literally the same videos. They share the same viewcounts. It's actually worse if you take into account the reach they also get with the main site.See You Next Wednesday said:Well, the thing is that their main site is where people go to watch their videos.
Their Youtube channel is for people to randomly stumble across their videos & maybe want more.

YouTube counts embedded views. If a video only shows 1000 views that's how many free users have watched it. It doesn't matter if you view the videos on giantbomb or YouTube.See You Next Wednesday said:Well, the thing is that their main site is where people go to watch their videos.
