Fantastic premiere, of course! Thoughts:

- Cary storyline was very unexpected but, as per usual with this show, fantastic. It was a pleasant surprise to have so much of the episode focus around Cary
and Cary shirtless in the jail lineup, with just a bit of scruff, mmmmm
.
- I've always liked the Bishop stuff so I'm really excited to see it take focus for at least the first part of the season.
- Eli was fun, as he usually is.
- Diane was fabulous.
- Please don't let this ruin the Finn/Alicia friendship :(

Guesses for general season arc: Cary's arrest damages the firm's name, forcing Alicia to run for State's Attorney, wins by the end of the season and spends next/the last season prosecuting Peter. Or not! One of the joys of this show is the unexpected places it goes.

but it was worth it all for this tbh

Cary's story was pretty difficult to watch. Good episode though.

Castro will quite easily use Cary's arrest against Alicia in the election.

I'm not sure where the Cary arc is going (hell, this show is completely unpredictable so any guesses are way out on a limb) but it's possible that some conflict between Bishop and Alicia['s firm] may lead to her wanting to run for SA. Her being SA is going to be a redemption for her compromises anyway, but first we need to get to the place where she wants to run and I think at this point something big has to happen.

I almost want all the lol-worthy possibilities to come true.

Cary: Convicted and gone for the rest of the series
Diane: All of her clients stolen, but gets to be a judge,'
Alicia: Firm collapses and she runs for SA.
Peter: Gets intern pregnant.

This would be incredible. Do it, Kings.

A promo of my dreamssssss

What a fantastic episode. The entire A-story with Cary was entirely unpredictable, but also made complete sense -- not having him released at the end was fucking brilliant, and it's great to see Kelli Giddish again. Just some great fucking storytelling. Does anyone remember if Cary actually did say something on the day in question? I'm trying to remember what episode that was from last season. I'm also so happy that the dad from The Neighbors is recurring this season. Note: I will be the only one ever to say these words.

Also, can we change the thread title to: The Good Wife |OT| Sans Panties

I believe it was one of those Bishop house raid episodes from a while back. In it, IIRC, Cary gave standard Lockheart-Gardener advice... Y'know, on the line between legal and illegal. So it could go either way.

I wonder how badly Kalinda will end up crossing people this season. It is her one true talent, aside from investigating.

The whole episode I thought the blonde cop was the blonde cop that worked for the Irish guy. Is she a different blonde cop from older seasons?

Yep, totally different character.

She's from season 2. I hope she sticks around too because she's easily my favourite of Kalinda's fuck buddies

I can't keep up with Kalinda's girlfriends.

She is so emotionally unavailable. I wouldn't be able to stick her.

The blonde from this episode was Sophia Russo. She was originally getting a larger role in season 3 but the actress (Kelli Giddish) got a role in L&O: SVU so that got scrapped. I think this past episode is going to be her only episode this season as well since The Kings are bringing back Agent Sexy aka Lana Delaney (played by Jill Flint) for an arc with Kalinda later on.

Damian's cop friend from last season was Jenna (Jordana Spiro).

Sneak peek from Episode 2

New episode tonight.

Alicia scrambles to hold onto the firm's biggest client as Florrick/Agos continues to struggle with an internal legal crisis. Meanwhile, Diane plots her move from Lockhart/Gardner and hunts for partners to bring with her to the new firm.

Taye Diggs
guest stars.

Another great episode. I'm loving the Cary stuff and it's making the show even more interesting than it already was.
The Diane and co. walking out scen
e felt soooo good. I'm gonna be devastated when this show leaves the air.

"SleuthWay"

That's gotta be one of their worst fucking ones.

Holy Christ.

There's got to be a competition going in the writers' room.

I'm not really feeling the State's Attorney plot yet, though. Not sure why.

But it's great to see that elevators are still a crucial part of every episode. And I'm being completely serious.

Yet another fantastic episode. Eli's maneuvering is as fun as always, lots of Diane being fabulous (the scene at the end with her leaving LG was perfection), Kalinda being used properly (have her investigate things!) and Alicia's State's Attorney stuff worked for me this episode. As much as I loved Cary's jail stuff last week I'm glad he's out and there were some good developments on that front this week. Taye Diggs seems like he'll be a pretty good addition to the cast too.

Good episode.

I don't know how the Trey thing will end tough. Did Kalinda told Bishop that he was the one talking to the police?, did castro moved in to protect him now that he knows they know? Will Florrick, Agos and Lockhart be prosecuted on conspiracy to commit murder if something go wrong? So many possibilities.
