I am dead fucking serious. Ever since I was a little kid, I wished I could rock a hightop fad (my hair is long and wavy, not hightop fade material). I have been ecstatic that it appears to be making a comeback. Without hyperbole, I think the hightop fade is the best hairstyle, period. Look at this shit:

No you don't. You wash your hair like everyone else. You don't need a pick. You can use one to set angle if you want but if your hair grows that way, it is going to always fro up. Especially after getting wet.

Not really, for the most part the hair will pretty much go back to the position it was in after it dries. You just use the pick to get that extra height.
