I'm saying if they go by people who have it on their "played" list instead of launching from the disc. They may have to just bite the bullet so to speak.
 
i've got to go to school now and the download still isn't up.

they should just put it up on marketplace, then start banning the people who dont have crackdown
 
Wait, how the hell is it not up by now? Everyone on the East Coast coming back from work is gonna be quite angry.

Good thing there's other things to do tonight, like watching the Senators go to the Stanley Cup final.

I did the exact same thing. Watched the craziness in the morning, was out all afternoon, then came home to see that it still wasn't up. Had a good "lol" about it.

I might pick it up on the way home if I can find one with a sticker. Even if the beta is hooped (and I wouldn't be outraged if, somehow, a guy like me who tries to get in now can't) Crackdown doesn't sound like a bad idea. The demo just never really grabbed me, maybe I was trying to play it too much like GTA or something.

This should have been cleared up long ago when then knew what a big issue this was going to be.

Doesn't Bungie now have a journalist on its books now that hates this kinda shit?

I've had to put off my beer run because I don't want to not be first in line to download this thing. I'm trapped :(
 
Getting to play the beta for three weeks then having to say buh-bye for three months is a lot worse than waiting an extra day . . .

I'm certainly not excusing the situation -- this is FUBAR -- but the pain could be worse.

Really good games. People seem more willing to party up and play together than they did in Halo2. I know that will change.

I'm finally getting the hang of some of the weapons but I really can't figure out the sensitivity very well yet. Sometimes I'm murdering people and others I'm all over the place.
 
luckily, i am going to a concert with the little lady this evening. however, the sex with the aforementioned that follows will be filled with a touch of aggression due to this delay. thankfully, she is freaky like that.

Bungie has JACK SHIT to do with this. Their beta is up and running just fine. MICROSOFT'S game can't interface with MICROSOFT'S Live service correctly. Bungie did their job - the Beta's ready. MS didn't have their shit together.
 
Dudes, you guys condemning Bungie need to chill.

This isn't Bungie's fault in the slightest. They made the beta and that's all going fine and good. MS said "hey we'll write a thing that lets people who buy our game Crackdown download the beta" and Bungie said "ok".

Now MS has ****ed up with their online punctuality (like always @_@) and all Bungie can do is call them and say "get it working please".

MS has dropped the ball here, not Bungie. Place the blame at the right people.
 
So by now its a safe bet that the problem is with the code in Crackdown. Meaning that this will require a new patch to fix a feature that was never supposed to be patched (the downloable content menu). Meaning that it will be a huge update which will have to go through a certification process so that it doesnt break neither Crackdown nor your 360. This leads me to believe that the Beta wont be up for Crackdown users in 2-3 days. Later guys.

Has anyone encountered a problem with saved films were it will randomly show a round from someone else's perspective, and be really choppy?

I was watching a high ground territories vid, rounds 1 3 and 4 were fine and showed what I did, but round 2 showed someone else's (shitty) play, and it was mega choppy
