The Halo 3 Beta Thread

Played one match,it was awesome.

Then I couldnt load any matchs.

Now its Game Over time.
 
I must be blind but I dont see an option for team shotty snipers...

I know its there since I just played it, but I dont see it.

woke up downloaded got betas over msg, rebooted 360 and cleared cache, in game now waiting on starting a game :D (takign a while tho)

half the time I was afraid to friend invite because ive got like 40 online I you can just hear the server groaning.....

then nothing responds for like 10 seconds.

That's another reason why I'm sticking with Solo Slayer, you don't have to back out after the match is over, it'll keep on trucking without having to do that Connecting to XBL thing.
 
Halo 3 is absolutely faster paced than Halo 2 was. I can't put my finger on specifically why... but I can tell that it is.

Getting the same error too.

I'm really liking these twist on old game modes. Also, I think the equipment does add a good new element to play.

I'm not part of the beta, and I'm not sure if this has been answered already, but does the multiplayer mode run at 60 fps? Could that be the reason why it seems faster paced?

I'm so ****ing dissapointed by the effort they put into this beta. First its late, then not one but two horrible glitches in the beta itself. Did nobody have any problems with this before it went public? Ugh. If the game wasn't so damn good I wouldn't care nearly as much.

I've come to hate the amount of time it takes crackdown to load, though.

As for that "update" from bungie, what did they expect? We're rabid mother****e

One more thing from the gentlemen in the server room:

Once you have downloaded the Beta, the XX LB RB XX trick will not help you. In fact, it may cause further delays as you will need to re-download files that would otherwise be cached on your hard drive.

So if you've got the Beta, and you're getting the Game Over screen, don't put in the code. Just grab something to drink and give it another shot in 5 minutes.

The cache thing seems to work pretty well for me ??

Yeah seriously the amount of ****ing logos you see as Crackdown boots up would make you think you were in ****ing Times Square. Why wouldn't developers let you skip that shit is beyond my comphrension.

Its ****ing disgusting.

I dunno what you were playing....but the beta i played was the shit.

Everything felt perfect. Every weapon felt good, sounded amazing, holy shit the sound. The graphics arent incredible, but i certainly think they look very good, some things could use some work, but its certainly good looking.

The interface is great, i played for about an hour and change and couldnt come up with any complaints.

Spartan laser rocks, halo 3 rocks......im going to bed.

We expected exactly what you guys are doing. That's why people are still here, troubleshooting problems as they come up. :)

Some things you just can't predict. The impact of 75,000 simultaneous users is one of them. All part of the process, and we do appreciate the assistance being rendered by everyone who is playing and toughing it out.

Plus the horrible profile load times. :lol

Don't get me wrong, the payoff is worth it, but if you have to restart the beta, it takes forever.

It's almost certainly due to the outrageously heavy load hitting the servers right now. Sorry for the hassle, this is sort of what you'd expect might happen when you throw almost 50,000 users at a fresh system. It is being looked into as I post.

Been playing and its cool. Kinda tired of the same two maps always popping up though. Played King of the Hill only once out of like 30 matches

EDIT: Geez guess I'm behind too and he responded again. Cool
 
the game could surely use some good AA... but the multiplayer does remind me of Halo 2 HD Remix... i doubt the single player will feel the same and after all... this is a beta... who knows how far the final product will be form this.

Yeah mate I'm sorry just the crackdown logos getting to me. Glad you guys are getting the servers back up. Direct them to the quote "I'm only angry because the game is so awesome" :D
