Whoa, that's pretty awesome. So do the missile pods also home in on infantry? I was a bit confused about that, and it doesn't look like he was aiming at that spot in the gif.

In all the videos I've seen where someone uses the missile pod, they never seem to be able to get kills with it and/or never even launch any rockets.

I think it was just the way he came down from the man cannon. That's why he was in the air, not from a jump, so the missile shot off differently.

I guess to make them not so amazing against infantry, they made the missile pod curve oddly, and only home on to vehicles.

It is pretty damn hard to hit someone with the pod with the odd curving the missiles do.

I don't understand the rating system at all, I've won probably 80% of my games and been the best on the team, and I see people that have played half the games I have and their ranked higher...>.>

Anyways, I can't get over how good the shotgun is, it's finally a weapon I find myself looking for, no more "I put that shit right in his chest and his shield didn't even go down" moments from Halo 2 :lol

It works directly via the 360, uses the same wireless link-up as the controller where you do the syncing with the small button on the front of the 360. It's not too bad in Gears, sometimes goes a bit dodgy, but apparently the newer ones are a bit more reliable. I would say that mine is fine for like 80% of the time at the very least.

I might get that then. My controller's headset port doesn't work anymore, I can buy another controller just for a new headset port but it has the chance of breaking too.

I haven't seen the gamespot halo 3 marathon but I heard it was god awful...here's the highlight reel and I gotta say, they have the impressive ability of sucking the fun out of even the best games when they demo them. Including Halo.

The best trick is to pick up a Mongoose jeep from one of the bases and drive it off the top of a base, using a blue gravity boost to shoot you (and jeep and passenger) into orbit. You'll have a good three seconds to look at the war below and another second to try and squash someone by landing on them. The pay off, off course, is that you land bang in the middle of a shootout and risk getting slaughtered in the cross-fire. You'll die, respawn and get another jeep for another go like an excited American infant, running and wobbling towards the Orlando waterslide with his rubber ring.

But Crackdown is already really a great game on its own.
When I got it first I couldn't stop playing for 5 hours straight.

the 'Download Halo 3 Beta' will no longer be greyed out on Wednesday. you download (and play) the game through Crackdown. as such, the Crackdown CD itself is basically your key/invite.

I encountered it like yesterday on Gears. I don't get why everyone else is having such awful experiences. Maybe my Judaism comes accross in my voice and people are afraid I'll forclose on their house or something?

Yeah, I've definitely had good experiences with everyone I've played against (and that's even if some of them even talked) - but I get this in practically every game I play online, whether it's Gears, or Rainbow Six, Lost Planet, GRAW, etc... I just don't run into the people that others complain about...

BUT - there was one retard that I just finished a Team Training against, who went off on some random guy on my team at the end of the match JUST because he was speaking another language - no doubt one of those MLG-inbreds who hacked/whatever to get the Beta - I wouldn't imagine someone like him getting an invite from Bungie at all...

It feels like the auto-aim has been toned way down. Also, the decreased rate of fire makes it much harder to get consecutive body shots.

That sounds good to me.

It was way too easy to get headshots in Halo2, and the rate of fire meant a good sniper was unstoppable.

Hopefully the change will effect the battle rifle as well, the auto aim on that thing in Halo2 also made it easy to get headshots.

From the defending side heading out of the main gate, look to the left. It's not far...you'll see one or two of those empty weapon canister things, it's on the floor by them.

I know where it spawns. I was asking if you have ever seen it REspawn. I've never seen more than 1 launcher in a slayer game on High Ground. Once it's used up, I don't think I've ever seen another.

The tracking has been reduced to roughly Halo 1 levels which is nice. It also burns battery if you hold it charged. Pretty much 1% battery per second you hold it charged.

The noob combo shouldn't be too much of a concern. It's probably only useful in close combat, but a shotgun or dual wielding would probably be more effective.
