Ah screw it, I am going to cmplete the street racer elite achievement on crackdown for the next couple days.

Have you ever done a laughing contest before? Well this is kinda like that in the sense that if you don't laugh (wait for the beta) you win!

And we all know what happens to the loser of the laughing contest.... :lol
 
My friends got in using the rule of 3 I had to pony up the 60 for crackdown (which I wouldn't of done if the game didn't turn out to be amazing). I just got my Orb Hunter Achievement :).

:lol At least this PM request was for Pokemon, and not another desperate attempt to get an invite to the beta. Hell, that was SO five pages ago. :lol

I heard there might be a FFA sword gametype floating somewhere, but I haven't come by it. No pistol at all.

The Laser is a bit overpowered. I confronted Ghaleon in close quarters today, for example. I had the shotty. Fired point blank and it didn't kill him but he was seriously injured, shields were down...I go in for the melee and he lasers me, not two feet away. His shields were seriously damaged, but there was no splash damage apparently. I wouldn't necessarily call the laser a sword...but it definitely is a power weapon and it definitely has some things which could be looked at if Bungie deems necessary. People tell me that 5 shots balance it, but 5 kills goes a long way in Slayer and 5 kills could easily win an objective based game, particularly those centered around vehicles (which could make it even more kills).

That being said, I love the laser and its the first weapon I go for. It just plain fun to use. I usually carry an MA5C at all times though.

My one problem with the beta right now is that Team Skirmish has Slayer in the rotation. I know its customary for variety, but I rarely come upon a flag game now (none to be had on Valhalla yet and 1flag on High Ground isn't frequent enough). Flag games for me are where I cut my teeth (as many have) in larger scale multiplayer than split-screen, so I don't know why its not more prominent. With a Team Slayer hopper, they need to yank Slayer from Skirmish matches. My $0.02.

Game is amazing though. Best of the series and it will be the one people remember when they talk about Halo a decade from now.
 
Well, I'm pretty positive I'll be waiting it out too. At least we'll have a clear conscience, right? All of us waiters should form an alliance and kill all of those who got in early through the bug on Wednesday. :)
 
All I know is when the beta goes up... my mute and avoid button will be on high alert. I can just imagine it now. The yelling, the racial insults, the "homo" name calling, the little whiney kids screaming, the uptight teenagers, the asshole who doesn't speak, the foriegners who call you names you can't understand, and finally the de-rankers and ****ing cunt teamkillers.

All of this will be unleased on Wen... and god help me if I am going to let them ****ing beat me.

there is a party system right though? i'd much rather be with some trusty gaf members than random guys.

Just don't even get me started. For all the bitching I do about PS3/PSN not coming with a headset, I'm probably far better off without it. It's only a problem when you're playing with friends (people you talk to in real life.)

If you log in under someone elses tag, does it allow them to be logged in simultaneously or do they gotta wait for the dl to finish?

I noticed that too when I played yesterday, but then realized it was probably always like that, and that I had just forgotten just how bad it was.
 
Come on guys. Let's keep it going. We can scare the hell out of the Resistance people by making our BETA thread bigger than their official one.
