I really enjoyed our games though. The other team was really cool in every instance too.

Seriously, I was wondering when someone would take that line of attack on those who got invited. To be expected.

For the record though, I only had to polish the shiny dome which resides over those sparkly eyes of his, and only for a few minutes. Small price to pay!

On the upside, if you can get 7 other folks together, you can pick Team Training and only play with each other. That's about as close as it gets to customs in the beta.

Yeah same here. It's pretty refreshing to play with some cool people for once as opposed to the royal jackass that is the average Xbox Live member. But yeah, once Karma get's in, you, me, him and urk should play together often.

On a different note, I was surprised as to how all of a sudden people I've never talked to on my FL mobbed me with a swarm of messages. It was like I was ****ing famous or something. :lol

Sorry for the unrelated halo 3 question, but I have my invite but I have yet to purchase a 360. Going to buy one at costco, but i'm weary at that damn 360 death thread. I'll be buying one of those bundles at costco in Canada, how are they with returning the 360 if it were to fail? ALso, the MS warranty, is it the same as the ones you can buy instore at FS/bestbuy?

Wow, I can't believe I never thought of that. Any Gaffers want to take the liberty of organizing some nightly games or something? That would actually be really damn cool.

But in all seriousness I have a launch 360 that still runs fine *Knock on wood* You should be fine, and if it breaks return it. I know in the past in the US costco has been great on returns for me.

I don't know about in Canada, but here in the US Costco will accept returns on pretty much anything.

I've heard Costco is extremely good w/returns, but keep in mind you'd probably have to return the whole thing, including your HDD. BB warranties (for example) give you an in-store return policy which is right away as opposed to mailing it to MS, but you will probably fall in the same trap of having to return the HDD as well, but I am NOT 100% sure on that. Failing that or if you want to be safe, the MS warranty is good as well. I've also heard to return things at Costco you have to keep absolutely everything, even including those plastic bubble containers that they put stuff in, so make sure you don't throw away a single thing regardless of where you get it from unless you go with the MS warranty.

Friends and family beta, some of us got invites to play before the 16th.

The F&F program had Bungie give out pre-beta codes on Friday for its loyal forum goers and family members. Frankie was on Gaf giving out codes. And now theres some exploit to get in the beta.

This thought occurred to me not to long ago. Misfortunate that I did not have the foresight to become a contributing member of the bungie.net community a while ago.

Spaclock I'm counting on you to have a decent friends list, so I can join and play with all the cool kids come Wednesday. Hopefully you guys play a lot of Slayer. Maybe I'll have a bit more talent at Halo than Gears.

, it's some MGLers making fools of themselves, or a bizarre Crysis vs. Halo 2.5 argument, or this new exploit nonsense complete with some sort of XBL TOS Defense Force. Focus people, focus. Track down the EGM crew and post their humiliation. There's been a disturbing lack of new videos today.

You realize there's no risk to this, right, so long as your gamertag contains no personal information?

Just dl it with a gamertag that has no CC info tied to it.
