Yup I believe so.... if you don't have SpikeTV or can't watch it (or are patient), they do put the segments up online on their website and also on GameTrailers.com

Ok I downloaded the 720p video from xboxyde and streamed it to my tv(Samsung DLP 720P) and I will have to disagree with the majority. It looks killer fun as expected but the graphics are not impressing me. I am gonna have to find a copy of Halo 2 again because they look pretty dang similar. Now I haven't played H2 in 2 years so that may be the problem, I hope single player looks at least 2-3x as good.

And yeah the sound was great, very clean and clear. Much better than all the hoopla surrounding Forza 2's sound.
 
Hey GhaleonEB, I noticed in your recent game list that a "Killtacular" is now called an "Overkill"? Were the names of these two medals flipped or is that a glitch in your recent playlist?

I'd also be interested in knowing more about how the "heavy weapons" work. When you drop it are you then left with only one weapon? How much slower do you walk? Etc...

I'm disappointed it switches to third person, but from the sound of it it works out just fine.

I never got a Killtacular - I think an overkill is when your team kills every member of the other team at the same time.

-3rd person, offset
-about 2/3 speed, and lower jumps
-still carry your two weapons, just have to drop the heavy weapon to use them
-no grenades
-chaingun has unlimited ammo
-missle pod fires six rounds, rapidly

One thing I haven't seen or read anything about is the hijacking in HALO 3. Has it changed at all? New animations? What's the deal trying to hijack a mongoose with two players riding on it?

the machinegun turret, I don't think so. you take it off the stand. Not sure if you can put it back on the stand, I haven't tried. the missle pod is a pick-up, not a turret.

I wouldn't pay much attention to Thunderbear. He was claiming that FM2 didn't look much better than FM1, all the while thinking FM1 ran at 60fps. :lol

if you find a specially marked box...i'm sure that they are still available though. If anything Crackdown should get a decent spike in sales with the new DLC and the beta launch. Excellent marketing by MS, and it's even better considering how good of a game Crackdown turned out to be.
 
Anybody want to party now? Is everyone busy? I don't want to play with all strangers again. I need to spread my awful halo skillz to the gaf community.
 
anyone use the plasma pistol? does it still have a rediculous lock on thats completely unavoidable that follows you around corners? does it still drain your whole shield?
 
On the topic of the medal names in Halo 3.

It does appear that "Killtacular" has been renamed "Overkill," which was previously 25 kills in a row without dying.

In addition, "Running Riot" is now called "Killing Frenzy." "Kill Frenzy" was previously five kills within four seconds of the previous kill.

Not sure how the rest of the naming is going to work. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
 
i haven't heard a single person mention any lag problems. Halo 2 had pretty good net code, but is Halo 3's THAT much improved that we can go all day w/o any latency issues?

And how is boarding/hijacking? haven't heard anyone mentioning it.

This was answered earlier. The homing is reduced but it travels faster. If you hit a vehicle with a charged shot it is disabled for a few seconds.

Edit: not spying on you Ghaleon, but your games are useful for checking out the new medals :P Sniping spree is a good add-on for the medals list too

Homing for charged plasma pistol is supposedly gone.
 
So speaking of graphics, what upgrades can one realistically expect between now and release?

It seems like there are no bugs/framerate problems, so that's great.
