I only find original Xbox games to have muddled voices. Halo 2 is really bad about this.

Chromehounds and Gears both seem like the people speaking are in the same room as you.

They said it's going up May 16th, and as long as it's up before midnight, there's no foul on that statement.

How many people here know that this isn't part of the game. We're not beta testing keys to download betas. It's a beta for Halo 3. I don't think Halo 3 is gonna be downloaded this way...unless...

Conspiracy? Please. I'm merely stating what seems to be an obvious change in procedure on the day of the beta release of the game that will probably make or break this console.

I don't believe that it's unreasonable to think that Microsoft knew that this wasn't going to go smoothly well before the 8:00 launch time. I mean, SOMEBODY had to have tested this thing.
 
So what's the deal? Is my copy of Crackdown ever going to bring me my Halo 3 beta or what? I see others on my list playing already. Must be invites? Any word on how long until they get this shit sorted out? I almost called into work today....

Well, I'm in through the F&F, when i try to join a friend it says I have "moderate NAT" or sumthin like that? Anyone know how to fix this? This never happens in any oyher game..
 
Heh. Played three matches today:

1st: Idiots. First sentence I heard upon entering was someone telling a guy that he sucked his mom's cock. (CTF)

2nd: Great game. Lots of team play. We won by one point with lots of communication. If every game was like this I'd still be playing. (Territory)

3rd: Was kinda meh. Felt almost like a Slayer match. (VIP).

We didn't just win, we absolutely destroyed them.this is up there with the other domination when nutter, ironclad, cerrius and I beat a team at 1 flag ctf on zanzibar with only melees. no shots were fired. 2-0 shut out. iirc we also had a a fairly high K:D ratio too :lol

:/ I didn't pay for a beta. I paid for a game called Crackdown. The beta was just an added FREE bonus to the game. I have no sympathy for you if all you wanted was to play the beta.

Wow Halo 3 is going to be huge. This is the seventh largest thread on Neogaf and the beta of a final version game hasn't even been released to the masses yet.
 
Not that it's any real consolation for those who haven't had their chance at Halo 3 yet, but I threw together a brief beta write-up with a very unique perspective than the media, at least as far as I can tell. My apologies for any grammatical or spelling issues, I've been pretty busy this week...
