I only played one game earlier during my lunch break and I got in right away. Don't know what the hell is going on with MM at times.

The beta is just so much fun at the minute, and apart from some guy who threw a fit at me after he walked into a power drainer 5 seconds after I deployed it and killed himself, the community has been very nice.

I honestly don't think Striker has let me yet... Damn Tan Spartan being picky with who he lets ride with im....

That's a "call sign", an optional way to identify players. It's displayed instead of the icons from Halo 2 ("hey guy with yellow square and red squiggles!". If you target the player, their Gamertag replaces the callsign.

The number/letters is just the simple format they picked.

I had this same problem with a new 360 I purchased, I could hear the guide button coming out, but the game was frozen and I could do nothing. It would freeze like every 10 minutes, I had to take it back and get another :(

All you savants out there need to gain rank quick and leave us lowly 'tards alone. Why the hell do I always seem to play against some Halo playin' cyborg built specifically to kick my ass and call me a fag? I want to kill someone too sometimes!

The mine is awesome. On the Valhalla Assault game I've got uploaded, we landed a last-second first round point thanks to Vociferous' strategy. I grabbed the bomb and he snagged the mine, we loaded up a desperation 'Goose and met another team mate at the base. We barely survived a missed Spartan Laser blast on the way over - hot damn is it exhilarating when that thing just barely misses - and took out the defender in the arming zone. Voc drops the mine right on the bomb, and I try to turn and defend from two guys pouring in the side. I drop, they head to the bomb.....BOOM - Voc gets a double kill.

The other guy we met comes in from the back to guard the bomb FTW.

The bottom half of the round, I get my Stick of Glory, followed by pure Missle Pod ownage. I was ****ing giddy after that game.

Man, I'm trying to view this film but I keep getting the "this guy ain't never played the game" message. That sounds sooo good!

90 degrees > 72 degrees ;__;
(Especially in the age of 16x9 TVs - I really don't get this design choice.)
 
They need to have the announcer say whether you gained or lost the lead. There are times when I'm fighting VIP in Snowbound and I have no idea when we scored or if we lost or gained the lead. I hope that'll be in the final version

He just says "Lost the lead", "Tied the lead", and "Gained the lead."

When I'm fighting, I don't have time to try to find out whether we're winning or not. I can ask over the com but my teammates might not know either. I like keeping up with who's in the lead, it changes my playstyle. Having the announcer say "Lost the lead" "tied the leader" "gained the lead" helps A LOT.

You lose RP for freezing out, it seems. I've been deranked a couple of times because of my lousy 360. Haven't noticed it yet for leaving a game to join another party.

I stand by my assertion that vehicles don't belong in gametypes without flags or bombs.

Also this game really REALLY needs H1's health system back. Fights are too fast and too frantic, because you only have three seconds to kill somebody before he's back to 100%. There's no ... accountability, and if you die in battle it's almost always in vain because the next time you find the guy you're on equal footing again :(

I'm not sure how I feel about that. I like having the option to leave a game when teammates either drop or get dropped. 1 vs. 4 just isn't fun, I shouldn't be forced to play it to avoid a penalty.

Wrong. Against good people a warthog on Valhalla is about your only chance if the other team acquires both snipers.

Unless they have health regenerate as well. Could make the regeneration rate adjustable through the player traits, so it could be the same as what we have now, or more akin to Halo 1--but without the trouble of sniffin' around for health packs.

I brought that up earlier in the thread when discussing the matter with thatbox, he didn't reply. I don't think he liked it. :(

But it has to be their to discourage people to quit games. Now quiting any game can affect your RP.

Wonder if quiting a Custom Game will affect it? Again... we aren't 100% if quiting anything effects it anyways.

Yeah so I guess it affects it, but how much? It will suck if that includes custom's too. How many custom games do we run around goofing off in and switch to another party?
