Get everyone to veto it :)

Just beware that you may end up with something worse! One time everyone vetoed Territories on Valhalla and we got Land Grab instead. That was the only time I've ever played Land Grab, and apparently it really is as bad as everyone says.

Land Grab rocks, just not on Valhalla. :p

I never got into Halo too much. Played through Halo 1 co-op, but never played too much multi. Didn't even finish Halo 2 and again rarely played multi (only system link -- no live). That said, I'm loving the Halo 3 beta. I finally understand why everyone loves the Halo Party/matchmaking system

I'm absolutely terrible though :(

Round based - there's five territories out there, and two teams. Go get them.

Once one is taken, you can't take it back. Three rounds. Team to snag the most territories wins.

why the hell does it take so long to find a game?

There are 20,000+ people on the team slayer list, but me and my buddy (party of 2) usually wait 5+ minutes to find a game before giving up and going to team training. It's ridiculous - if I didn't know better I'd describe it as broken. Ugh.

I drove a mongoose off a mancannon and forgot to save the damn film. I hit the thing sort of side ways and flew assbackwards off the mancannon, crashing to the ground. At which point someone shot me in the face. But still, very fun.

I'm definitely up for some GAF action a little later. Would love to play with fellow Halo fanatics.

That's odd - my games have been taking < 1 minute. There seem to be intermitant problems for people.

Having played 69 games I have kill ratio of ~0,8. I suck totally.:(
Still the game's a lot of fun and very addictive. I can't wait to play final version of that.
Although graphics do suck a bit. I expected more from Halo. Hopefully single-player will have that fantastic lighting model (and atmospherics and...). although it cas look beautiful at times, especially on High Ground.

Had several 30+ kill games tonight. And had a few Running Riots too. For those of you who don't know Running Riot is 15 kills in a row without being killed. It was 10 in Halo 2.

I almost had a running riot yesterday. I had two Killing Frenzy's in my last game back to back tho.

I just spent a few games tooling around with some friends on a map and found a detail that I thought was pretty cool.

When you fire the spiker rifle into a curved surface, the spikes reflect off and fly into the distance. But they don't just fly off - they gradually arc back down to the ground, way off on the horizon. There appears to be physics applied to the spikes that are fired. Great little touch of realism.

Yeah, we've been having problems w/going into a game w/a party of 8, and 1 person would always get dropped when the game was starting for some reason. Also every time one of us is inviting people and we go to invite Ghaleon, he's always in a party of 6 w/crazy hardcore people :lol . I accidentally invited him earlier and looked at his party and he's playing with Vociferous, some Lt. 2nd Grade ranked player, and some other dude D:

I'm very slowly starting to get a grip on the controls and gameplay. I still suck at aiming, but I hope to improve. A good team will make a world of difference (unsurprisingly, of course) in getting a really good experience, whether you win or lose.

Oh, and dual wielding the brute guns is awesome. I'd say it's my favorite dual wielding combo.

No, I'm pretty sure there is no more running riot. It was replaced by Overkill.

It was replaced by Killing Frenzy and moved to 15 in a row.

By the way, if anyone wants to exchange positive rep because the feedback abuse is so bad, just PM me your Gamertag. I will add you and prefer you right away.

4-Hopefully the ":lol" means you're joking. Either way, hell no.

I do want the weapon...tricks back, but I know Bungie would never put them back. That's what the :lol was for. Though I don't really see the problem with the "tricks" anyway. Anybody can use them, but to use them effectively you have to practice and get better at it. It separates the good players from the great players, IMO.

Yes, cancelling animations takes skill.

No, button combos aren't skill, they're cheap. Skill is actually out shooting somebody instead of getting up close to them and using some shitty unintentinal combo and killing the guy then screaming "RAPE!"

1) Everyone can use them.

2) They are not unstoppable, at all.

They are not cheap.

In Halo 2, you could do both.

They are cheap. You get close, they're unstoppable. It's not fair. I leave feedback against anybody that does them. They don't belong therefore they are cheating.

BTW, Bungie has said several times that they consider it cheating and advise people to leave feedback about it.

Jump Away. Dodge. Crouch. Shotgun. Sticky. Get better timing and BXR back. Get better timing and BXB back.

Plenty of ways to counter a BXR/BXB.

Ok, what the hell is all this BXB BXR YY malarkey? It's turning into some sort of wavedashing SSBM lexicon in here!
It's a way to cancel attacks in Halo 2 in order to string together combos Bungie did not intend, such as a rapid double-melee. They are glitches and Bungie considers exploiting them in Matchmaking to be cheating.
