Any way... 5 shots with the pistol? That sounds about right as long as the ROF is low enough, dual wielding them should be awesome (I just wonder how accurate it is).

It's nothing special, but you'll get to see the pistol. It appears to be a five shot kill by itself with a fairly slow rate of fire.

Yeah. Unfortunately you don't actually see the kill, but the guy shows the player start firing and you can clearly hear five shots for the kill.
 
Finally hit Lieutenant tonight. Should have had it a long time ago but I've easily lost 20 RP due to my problem with me 360 freezing. Interestingly enough I thought it was the entire console locking up. When I open the disc drive it takes me back to the 360 Dashboard. So I do think it's the game, or the disc drive causing the freezing.

Every single Double Team game I played earlier, the guy on my team quit. I did end up winning a few games even against two people.

It wasn't. It is, however, in the beta code. And based on the comments in the Weekly Update that the internal Beta had much more than the public beta, I'm assuming these were one such feature.
 
The brute shot to me is just like a splash damage dealer, great when 2 or more people are close together or just to sprinkle a little pain among two people fighting.

The blade for me gets used like 1 in a million because I get shot down :(

I hope this meme becomes bannable real soon, it's become annoying on it's very first day.

There has to be a reason why CTF is so rare, it must not produce the stats that Bungie really needs. Most people play team skirmish because they do not like slayer, but that's all that team skirmish is. It's almost depressing. Oh well, I'm sure it's for the greater good.

Saw the pics and read the info.

As far as the custom Spartans go, Way more than just the colors. Totally different helmet, armor, everything. Just like the Beta hack said (ie multiple and individual choices of each part). Haze soldiers am cry.

The radar jammer seems.. interesting. The Brute Chopper is awesome! :lol
 
Ah just saw the pics on the GameFAQs Halo 3 message board. Lots of new stuff in that new Game Pro issue..

Weapons
Magnum - 8 shots, dual wieldable, not zoomable
Energy Sword - brief weapon switch delay, battery depletes

Vehicles
Wraith - now has a secondary turret
Brute Chopper - the brute ghost... really cool looking

Equipment:
Radar Jammer - "Hurl this item into a fight and watch as chaos and confusion engulf friend and foe alike. The jammer scrambles the radar of all nearby players and triggers disco-like light flashes to further disorient your prey."

Maps
1) Shrine - biggest map ever in a Halo game, a vehicle heavy map
2) Epitaph - "spiritual successor to Halo 2 maps like Colossus, Gemini, and Midship". the one in the leaked video .
3) Last Resort - Zanzibar remake (leaked)
4) Secret Work in Progress Map - only sent concept art, it's icey motif (Lockout?)

Customization
They show lots of pics of weird looking spartans, looks like you can have different helmet styles and stuff.

Someone on a friend's friends list was in a joinable custom game

We joined, and now we're playing some weird ass slayer on valhalla
 
What you do is get a full MM party (for best results, use the 8 player max playlists). Then, have another (in this example, a nineth) person start their own party and invite everyone to join his party of the same playlist. Now, since it has an eight player max, one player will be booted to the custom game lobby. He can then invite the rest of them into his lobby. You should be able to figure out the rest.

i just played some custom games. one of my friends joined a kid and then left yet he was booted out to a custom games lobby.

all the options available are cool; i imagine there will be tons of things available to do with all the settings.

we were having races of mongoose versus "fast as hell" spartan, found out the new pistol sucks, messed around with the sword, and flew to space on valhalla.

all in all it was pretty stupid :lol so we went to matchmaking but we cant ever find a match in team slayer. :(
 
I don't know how strong the wraith is because I have indestructible vehicles on.

Things:

300% move speed + 50% grav = lol

The pistol seems too nerfed

There are a billion options

Would it work for you to invite me to your custom game if your party isn't full? I'm to dumb to figure out how to do that on my own.

What's going on with these custom games? Is this some sorta glitch? I'm ready to jump on and play for a bit if there is something new today.
