Maybe, but it's not a random piece of art. It says "Finish the fight" and has a Halo 3 logo and it doesn't look like the other concept art either. This looks like a mysterious promotional teaser poster.

It's under Promotional Concepts. I wouldn't put any stock in those since most of them are photochops of existing art.

That's what I thought as well. The lighting and layout just look incredibly new to the Halo universe. Looks like a great map. I'm also digging the expanded version of Zanzibar - it's going to be much more of a vehicle map.

It looked like a mix between the Forerunner and Covenant architectures.

Look at you talking about updated daily builds. I've seen plenty of forum posts saying that the Beta test build is as good as it gets, so many of them in fact that it must be true!

I find in-door Forerunner architecture and effects rather dull (convenant is way cooler and diverse), but the Epitath map looks very pretty with all the cool effects

My wife just called and has been able to get out insurance company to agree they should pay ~$800 in medical bills we were paying (and already paid $300 of). If she gets that finalized (they disconnected her halfway through) I'm marching straight to Gamestop and preordering one of those Zunes. There's apparantly over a hundred pieces of artwork in there, and most of it is shit hot.

Hardcore Ghaleon! I hope you can find use for the Zune itself too. But maybe someone will find a way to transfer the images directly to the pc...
 
Kelly for sure. It ties into the "Starry Night" trailer, as well, if the kids are supposed to be John and Kelly.

Either way, that's an awesome piece of art.

Thats just Halo 2 artwork, had a wallpaper of it for years now.

Not entirely seeing why people are assuming the Spartan is female or anything, I just think its a odd pose, but
wasn't Kelly stuck in the Dyson Sphere/Shield World or whatever at the end of Ghosts of Onyx along with Fred and Linda?
Either way its a nice bit of art.

Just seeing that spartan (hopefully Kelly!) gets me so riled up. Man, I'd love for a second Spartan to be in the game.
 
I believe Fred is still alive as well. Kurt gave him leader of the Squad right before he sacrifices himself if I remember correctly.

I wouldn't ASSUME that it's Kelly just yet either. While it's certainly a possibility I believe Bungie confirmed that female Spartans would be selectable in Halo 3's multiplayer. So it could be something that ties into the Campaign or it could just be that. Never know.

I was planning to buy a Zune this year anyways, but the Halo edition pushed me to get it sooner. Then last week, an extra $500 in bills land (we thought we were done). That's in excess of my gaming/entertainment budget for the year so I wasn't happy. Hopefully it gets cleared up.

Note for future reference: Knee surgery is expensive.

You mean Halo novels. Haven't read any. That clears everything. I always thought since he is a biologically modified soldier, that can be changed using technology.

I believe Bungie confirmed this a long time ago. Whether you will be able to tell a difference aesthetically I don't know. But I believe Frankie said in an update that they were recording female voices for the multiplayer for the female Halo players out there.

Also, I believe that people look sexless in MJOLNIR. I think they say that a few times in the Halo novels.

Well, if it isn't Kelly, it could still be that female Spartan that does the armor testing from the Graphic Novel.

Also for those that follow the books, the surviving active Spartan II's are Master Chief, Fred, Kelly, Linda, and Grey Team - The three Spartans that were too far away from Reach to be recalled for the PoA's original mission.

Linda might be alive too. Not sure don't quite remember
But anyway the Spartan in DOA was also a female if I remember correctly. And this is just Halo related art so it doesn't really mean anything in particular for Halo 3.
 
It all makes sense now. The reason Bungie are considering the idea of female spartan voice in multiplayer is because those lines have already been recorded for the single player campaign. Busted! ;)

Master Chief will die in level 2 and the female spartan will "Finish the Fight". Ending of current story arc and the beginning of the next Halo triology. Confirmed.

Funny to see that they have the exclusive, I just found out today that one of my friends landed a job at the production company that makes this show (the bald dude is his boss).

Tieno if you want to I can send it to you on MSN or something if you still can't get it. There's a shitload of new footage in there.

edit; they saw 3 new maps, including the Zanzinbar remake. They have a pretty cool flyby of the new Zanzibar. They haven't seen any Singleplayer.

Oh and they speculate about a possible GTA openworld-ish mode because they spoke to Bungie's Sandbox designer. :').

4 player co-op is rumored again.
