Pretty amazing. You'll be able to watch the movie in live action with the actors in the motion capture stage, and also in the template format with what seems to be running commentary by all those involved. Too bad there is no vanilla commentary on the first disc though. Would have liked one with the cast.[/QUOTE]
Theres still a 3D version coming out as well right?
It's exclusive to buyers of Panasonic 3D TVs at the moment.Ashhong said:Theres still a 3D version coming out as well right?

I thought the infamous BttF greenscreen shot looked like fake shit on VHS when I was six years old. On Blu Ray when I'm in my 20s it looks intolerable. Much as I enjoy BttF, I might skip it for HD.Easystride said:Some blu-ray screen shots of the BTTF trilogy can be found here.
I'm not too sure what to think of them since I am not an expert on HD, but I am still excited for this release.
Come live in Britain. we have Dumbo already.lethial said:Dumbo are also slated for a Diamond release.
Yea, that shot in particular does look pretty bad. I may get this when there is a price drop to ~$30, but I am in no hurry as I've seen all three movies plenty of times. Perhaps Black Friday will have the deal I am waiting for.Suairyu said:I thought the infamous BttF greenscreen shot looked like fake shit on VHS when I was six years old. It's lacking in details. It's disappointing but in the end it's still BttF and I'm hyped.Easystride said:Some blu-ray screen shots of the BTTF trilogy can be found here.

It looked hilariously bad at the cinema on Sunday :lolSuairyu said:I thought the infamous BttF greenscreen shot looked like fake shit on VHS when I was six years old. On Blu Ray when I'm in my 20s it looks intolerable. Much as I enjoy BttF, I might skip it for HD.
Pretty average, I'd say. It looks just how I suspected it would after seeing the remastering job in the cinema a few days ago. AVS has already dug up pictures of an HD broadcast version that hasn't been 'improved' and looks a lot better.Easystride said:Some blu-ray screen shots of the BTTF trilogy can be found here.

Alliance frequently puts out catalog Blu-ray titles for cheap and with no special features in Canada before the US gets them, but the transfers are very hit and miss. Some of them are 1080i, have the incorrect aspect ratio etc. From what I've read the Canadian release of Eternal Sunshine is alright though.Magnus said:Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is already on Bluray, just bought it for $8 from HMV in Canada last month. Did I get some import or something without realizing it?![]()

As for Disney, when the Diamond Collection was originally announced, they included a list of titles, and since we know the 2011 lineup, Cinderella, The Jungle Book, Lady and the Tramp, The Little Mermaid, 101 Dalmations, and Peter Pan are the 2012-2014 titles. Assuming they keep to their two a year release schedule, Aladdin and others not in that list are 2015 at the earliest unless they release them as non-Diamond titles, like Dumbo will be.

Editor's Note: I've just confirmed directly with Universal that all these titles - and those mentioned this morning as well - are indeed scheduled for Blu-ray release by the studio in late 2010 and the first half of 2011. Expect them to be announced in progressive waves over the coming weeks and months.

DJ_Tet said:Excited to see Fast Times coming to Blu. I've got it on HD-DVD and it looks great. Love that movie and soundtrack, now it's timeless. It's completely different than what most have seen on TBS too, you really need to see it unrated/unedited. And not just for the perfect pair of breasts shown by Phoebe Cates.
Hadn't mentioned it on gaf yet but this is a good place to do so. Got a PS3 finally last week so I finally have bluray capability.
GF is excited because now we can play our 100+ used blus gotten at various hollywood video closings in the last year :lol
I'm excited just to be back in the HD movie game.

What kind of stuff have people gotten from Disney Movie Rewards? I just ordered 'Walt Disney Treasures - Your Host, Walt Disney' for 800 points yesterday.
