Actually, I'd say the bino's seem more obvious.

Does anyone own Sleepy Hollow BD/HD? Is it worth the upgrade (I love the movie).
OokieSpookie said:I picked it up early on blu.
Definite step up from the dvd, but it would not win any awards.
Happy with the purchase though all and all.
Mmmkay said:Does anyone know the region status of No Country For Old Men? Blurayregioninfo claims that it's region free, but from an ambiguous source. I'm still a little sceptical but it would be seriously awesome if true. I don't think there's even been a date for the UK yet.
No, it has Justice League Unlimited bonus episodes. They're pretty good ones actually, but still not in HD.Xater said:The New Frontiert BD has some episodes of Batman Animated on it? That might get me to buy the thing. I wasn't too impressed with the movie. I actually liked the Superman animated movie better.
Mmmkay said:Yeah I usually keep an eye on the MovieTyme blog, but I am quite anxious/impatient about this title.
"We have a partnership with Toshiba and have an obligation to see this through," DreamWorks Chief Executive Jeffrey Katzenberg said on Tuesday.
"As you know, we have been well-compensated for our support. It really is in their court at this point to really declare what the next step will be. We're poised either way to jump into the marketplace when the conditions are right to do so," he said

Wow. I can't believe he's being so candid about being money-hatted. I wonder if Toshiba would make them stick to their contract (assuming there's no opt-out clause in case Toshiba throws in the towel, which seems unlikely given his comment above) just to spite blu-ray.
Either way, they're obviously on board whenever the "conditions are right to do so". Hopefully sooner rather than later.
Big-E said:Would you guys recommend Justice League to only a really casual comic fan? I don't really like DC all that much but some stuff I do like. Is it merely fan service or does the story hold up on its own?
OokieSpookie said:Good story, but the enemy and threat is a bit vague so it is hard to say.
ManaByte said:The enemy is a classic silver-age style enemy that the Justice League would normally fight.
if you're going to bash a movie like that then at least spend a few minutes defending your viewpoint.Days like these... said:What are you smoking? The Descent was pure and unadulterated utter ass compared to 30 Days of Night. If anyone is thinking about picking up 30 Days or Beowulf Walmart has them for $24.96.
FEB. 28 | The March 4 releases Into the Wild and Things We Lost in the Fire will be Paramount Home Entertainments last titles in the HD DVD format, the studio confirmed.
So Cloverfield and There Will Be Blood are definitely confirmed canceled.. ugh I hope they can get them out soon. I kind of wanted Bee Movie too.OokieSpookie said:

i entered the game late, in January, so that plays a role. even at that time i knew blu-ray would most likely win. i anticipated a year or so, and wanted to rent a shit ton of netflix.thaivo said:I can see where you're coming from. Personally though, an HD movie is an HD movie, and I don't mind having movies of different formats on my media shelf. I mean, I have DVD's sitting next to the HD DVD's.
I'm sure I'll have a Blu-Ray player at some point, meaning when they get to around $100... lol (5 years from now perhaps :lol)

it's a Tuesday and releases are usually on Tuesdays so why was that odd?thaivo said:That's too bad. I was looking forward to Sweeny Todd too. I always thought it curious that it was supposed to come on April 1st though...
Other than the April 1st Date? I didn't think it was a joke before, but now that it is cancelled, the April 1st date was just a bad omen then.bune duggy said:it's a Tuesday and releases are usually on Tuesdays so why was that odd?

I agree. What I had hoped in the past was that Toshiba would eventually add combo players to their line-up, as those would not be as expensive. However, I think it likely won't happen now that they have left the field.DeathNote said:i entered the game late, in January, so that plays a role. even at that time i knew blu-ray would most likely win. i anticipated a year or so, and wanted to rent a shit ton of netflix.
my fear in building a hd-dvd library is not having a backup in the future. i know there will be dual players, but they are so expensive! i plan to get a ps3 eventually, not a dual.

Cosmic Bus said:This is infuriating. It would be great if they still come out overseas on HD, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. Toshiba couldn't have waited, like, a month to end this? You're depriving me of the movies I want to see so badly!
Assuming good prices can be found, I'll definitely pick up Into the Wild and Things We Lost In the Fire, though. In regards to the latter, Susanne Bier is one of the best directors working today.
The Main Event said:I might give a look at Things We Lost in the Fire if I can find it for cheap too.

I found one site called themovieinsider.com but a lot of the trailers are Quicktime movies and I just found out PS3 doesn't support them.![]()

I get the feeling JLU wasn't done in HD, and we won't be seeing it in HD unless they decide to remaster it.

I think you just have to pay for full screen mode or something.

Yah it's free unless you want to save/create movie files.
