I love when people have to get accustomed to Dominican Spanish (which happened every year in my HS, new kids having to learn what certain slang meant)

The Spaniards have a real nice way of using the language if you ask me. I've always understood what they say pretty well and the ladies who speak with that accent sound nice. It's a real soft accent with fewer highs and lows.

Dominican spanish is pretty sharp though. Sometimes it feels like a standoff when a lot of Dominicans are talking to each other. It makes conversations fun though.:lol

My girlfriend is Spaniard and half the time I can barely make out what she is saying.

Their accent are the hardest to understand and then on top of it, they use different words compared to hispanic/latino spanish.

For example, I would use "piso" and she would use "suelo".

don't forget the sprite. although in my house whenever i had a stomach ache my mom would give me some coke and make me lick some salt. don't know what that did but it usually fixed my stomach ache.
