Looks weak even in bullshots with 1024X768 resolution and 32XAA. The gore effects are especially pathetic.

I tell you, this game is awesome in motion. Not just for the graphics (they're not bad), but for every little touch and the fast action. And the grain! :lol

Left 4 Dead phoned, can they have their Zombies back. :D

Not sure I like the realistic zombie style for a House of the Dead game. I always loved the comedy mix of flesh-eating zombies and hammy voice acting, coupled with shooting stuff for bonus points. :lol

This game would look pretty awesome in the Xbox/GameCube generation. Which Wii is part of, graphically, so I don't mind these shots at all. I like how there's hardly a HUD, too.

the shot with the explosion in the background could be mistaken as an n64 game....

kind of a mixed bag with this one visually.

yeah... i like the cheesy more-comedic-looking zombies too. still... the idea of a new built-for-console zombie-blasting game is too good to pass up.

zombie apocalypse training, this.

I like the new zombie design. The screenshots look stretched and are probably downsized from some press kit. As long as it's smooth the graphics are not that important anyways (not that they look offensive or anything). I'm interested in the gameplay changes like the longer reload time and the ability to look around.

I get pissed every time I see HD Wii screenshots.
Well to be honest this time it's a digital camera offscreen pic. That one can be as highres as it wants.
What's really sad is when companies release obvious bullshots at insane resolutions as screengrabs, though.

Hmm.

I'm actually a fan of the comic-like OTT of the previous games and their creature designs. This one is a bit too realistic.

Still though, keeping an eye on it. Kuju are good people, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

I don't know about that. The image quality in those shots is much too clear for an actual Wii game. The resolution is higher and there is plenty of anti-aliasing. A camera does tend to enhance the appearance of a game, but not to that degree.

I think the "shimmering lighting" really looks like it was photographed with a camera, wii games don't have lightning like that normally. Maybe they used a tripod so the quality of the picture is better than with the normal "taken from an angle with slightly shaking hands" pic.

Edit: After taking a second look though I see the anti-aliasing more. Hm...

This is the Wii. You shouldn't be expecting Xbox quality graphics here.

Definitely one of those games that looks better in motion than in screens; but I still think this game is going to be fun as hell. Can't wait.

You are still around?

The shots look similar to those from the press kit we got when the game was unveiled. I don't think they're off-screen cam pics.

Awesome presentation, but it's the dev's first shot at a real lightgun game. Looks like a perfect rental.

isn't that pretty much all Wii games? We just went through this with DIZASTAH. No matter how you put it though visuals on the Wii are all over the place.

Still if the zombies and flesh actually show the impact of bullets and its fast and challenging it will be a lot of fun.

They're most certainly not off-screen camera pics. The resolution is too high, the AA too precise (pics aren't blurred), and only yellow-ish colors tend to shimmer (which suggests it's a video filter).

Zombie faces look nice, everything else not so much (low poly, low res textures, especially in the backgrounds). If the game is fast paced enough, you won't have much time to notice it (human-like faces draw a player's attention more than anything else, it's a wise - and pretty commonly used - way to hide hardware limitations a bit).

Looks good, liking where the theme of the game is going (gritty pulp horror)

As long as the controls are solid (and with HotD Returns and Ghost Squad they were) I am there

Long live the light gun genre!

No, these can't be off-screen Wii shots. Look at the gun model in this shot. That is flawlessly anti-aliased.

They are simply using some sort of odd lighting filter.
