All of the Ace Attorney games are great, but I never felt that any of the sequels quite lived up to the drama of the first one. As soon as you start throwing your Objection fingers and the "Cornered" music starts playing, you just feel like such a badass. I got shivers down my spine, it was that good. Just awesome.

The very end of the very last case in the third game, when everything comes to a head and they uh... resurrect the first game's cornered music, is fucking mind-blowing.

MovieCat is on sale for $1. It usually goes for $2 or $3. It's a movie trivia game with a really great art style. I've only played 1 game so far but I was really impressed by the quality of the presentation. Some of the questions were more obscure than I thought they would be too. Hopefully there's enough questions in there to keep it from getting stale too soon.

Yeah, if you can get used to a control scheme at least. If you're already familiar with it you might want to skip the "missions" (basically a crapload of short tutorial levels), and if you want the main level from the 360 version, it's the last championship level. The challenge levels have faster ghosts while stunned so they're harder to catch for the first 10, and dark mazes for the last 5, I don't bother with those.

Just wanted to mention that Flick Kick Football is one of my favorite and most played iPhone games.
 
I saw Riiiiidge Racer got a price drop, is the base game still kinda bare with a bunch of DLC or is it ok on it's own?

Harbor Master is universal and has a free level with extra DLC ones while Flight Control has separate iPhone and iPad versions with a bunch of levels each, and pay only. Gameplay wise the main difference is that in Flight Control the vehicles go away right when they land, while in Harbor Master you have to manage them taking up space and leaving the docks.

It's actually pretty damn good. If you played Anno 1701 on DS, it has that similar style of deploying things like roads and zoning. I'm finding it really quite a fine Simcity "port". Sleek interface, great zoom and non-fiddly controls.

Great to hear :)

We are actually pretty close to submitting the next update which has a new multiplayer mode (online and offline). Hopefully, that will keep you playing a while longer.
 
Just got Pac-Man CE since I love the 360 version so much and wtf is whith these controls? ick, they're going to take some getting used to... It's like playing with an old broken joystick or something.

I think the main problem with iPhone games is that usually when I fuck up it's really not me, it's the controls. I love playing superhard masocore games all the time (Super Meat Boy, Trials, Splosion Man etc) so I'm used to failure, but it's so frustrating dying because your finger got in the way or the touchscreen didn't track the movement properly. There are some great games on the system still but a significant portion are hampered by dodgy controls.

Not many, but even if I get one in a month it's several times better than if I leave it at 99 cents.

It is. Also fast app switching and some other polish. Still my favorite traditional racer on the platform, feels very AAA console-ish.
 
Crimson Gem Saga is back on sale for $4.99 if you missed it earlier. There are a lot of titles on sale so far, but nothing I'm really debating grabbing except for Let's Golf 2, which I'm still not sure whether I'd ever really play.

Oh, thanks. I'll bite then. I tried the demo and it's cool, but it looks really ugly without retina.

Real Racing controls better, but you can't change gears (unlike Shift), and I can't stand playing "realistic" racers without gear change.
 
I want to buy Madden now that it's on sale for 99 cents, but I'm stuck in the boonies with only Edge coverage and no wifi. Is there any way to make the purchase and download later? I was able to buy Harbor Master and pause the download, but Madden is over 20mb so it tells me to use a computer or wifi. Any ideas?

Should be fine.

I've had downloads that have lost wifi in the middle of downloading, and they pick up fine. As long as it registers you've bought it it'll be ok.

Edit - sorry, didn't see the no wifi bit. It won't even let you start the dl?

Found some wifi to use, but yeah, there does not seem to be any "go ahead and purchase, download later" option. Good way for people without wifi to miss a sale!

on another note -- opinions on ravensword anyone?
 
Mario: Zen Puzzle Garden looks awesome, and it's really cool seeing you guys tackle something completely different :)

Anyway, today is a pretty exciting day for us iOS gamers.. My head is spinning trying to keep up with everything going on..

Also super stoked to report that Wispin received a great front page TouchArcade review this morning!: "Wispin Review - Color Me Impressed" :)
