I buckled again...I picked up the utterly awesome - despite the delightful spelling errors littering the text - Orions: Legend of Wizards.

I'd probably buy this if the developer would update it, from reading the user reviews it's filled with bugs and lacks a huge number of cards compared to the other versions that are out. I think they said at one point they'd have updates but never did since it looks like it's been two years now.

We are giving away promo codes on the PikPok Twitter feed every day until 20 December, so keep an eye on that for daily giveaways as Flick Kick Football will be amongst the random prizes.
Wow thanks, I'll take a look!
Our website will launch an iOS section as well, so I'll consider writing a review of Flick Kick Football if I'm one of the lucky ones at your Twitter. =)

Other smaller games out now:
- Girl vs Zombies
- Zombie Slasher

And a screenshot of the damage in Real Racing 2

Ah shucks. $2.99 down the drain :( Take a look at our iPhone catalogue and I'll get you a couple of promo codes for some of our other games you might want (think we have them for every game except Fame).

We are looking at bringing a version of Zen Puzzle Garden to iPhone too, but will be a couple months at least before that hits.
No worries, it's just more motivation to get an iPad. Plus, I got to support you guys. I think I have all of your games that I'm interested in, but if you can hook me up with Zen Puzzle Garden once it hits the iPhone, it would be awesome.

Once your website launches your iOS section then hit up the PikPok contact email and we can get you on our media release list or supply codes on occasion when requested.

Yoot Tower is out for iPad.

Yoot Tower - $7.99

I'm one of the crazies who has never played Sim Tower. But I love SimCity and Sim Hospital (and dare I say, Sim Copter). All this talk of Sim Tower has me intrigued. Is the iPad version (Yoot tower) any good? Easy to understand?

Yay! Apple finally approved Zen Puzzle Garden for iPad, a collaboration between ourselves and fellow Kiwi developer Lexaloffle.

It looks great! Consider it bought. I shall recommend it if I like it.

That's what I read as well, but was willing to chance it. I dunno...I'm looking at it more as an LCG, rather than a CCG. Maybe even more of a boardgame with set pieces. There's definitely enough variety in the bestiary thus far, and it's nice to build facilities - for lack of a better word - that breed and attract particular troops. I've had no bugs or crashes affect me thus far, which is nice.

I do mourn the lack of expansions out there, only for the fact I know they exist. But, I'm loving it so far.

A lot of awesome games coming out today... And personally... Currently being so spoiled by Infinity Blade... There isn't a single one that I'm very interested in. I'm currently totally hooked on it, and it's both beautiful, incredibly fun AND actually original, artistically creative and technically very impressive. It's really rare to see such a top AAA title on this platform and it has really made me only want to spend money on future games when they're truly something special.

Standards slowly rising...

NeoGAF's never excited for Real Racing?

Some of us are. I had a lot of fun with the first - it's not a 'simulator' of any sorts but it had a hugely satisfying control scheme and was just plain fun to use. The only thing I felt missing was a career mode with more meat and that's what we're getting, along with gorgeous visuals. Just in time for my long flight trip as well.

There is an update for Eboy FixPix that's just gone up on the store including 25 new levels. Be warned: The update resets your progress.

WINtA is out in Japan. Grabbing now.

How do you like the game? :D

In other news;
* WINtA is now featured in 7 different countries on the App store
* We're featured as App of the day on TUAW
* Update submitted to Apple, more news on that soon
* Tracks updated this week, including a new track from Masaya Matsuura!

Jesus, and I thought last week was insane. I owe Apple some money on my iTunes account at the minute, and I don't get paid until the weekend, so tomorrow is going to kill me. :lol

None, well, I guess 1? It does everything automatically, no saving, or switching users. You can restart from scratch, or restart the current bloodline, but no swapping profiles that I can see.

flick kick football update is live, i'll check out multiplayer now...

the basic game plays really well, but 115 yen/$0.99/59p etc is pretty excessive for one song given that you can't preview them before buying (unless i'm missing something).

i know it's for charity, but i think the app could do a lot more to encourage purchases. chime was 400 microsoft points - i'd be happy paying a similar amount for a similar amount of good music to play.

Super Mega Worm VS Santa is also out now

Edit: What is all this talk about the App Store closing? Can someone elaborate please?

it's for dev submissions not consumers. no app store updates over the holidays.

RIVEN?!?!?!?!

must resist... and just... buy.. Steam version... but... so curious..
Was Riven a great sequel? I never remember hearing much about it.

Speaking of ancient multimediaware....anyone find out the 7th Guest turned out?

I'm having fun with Zen Puzzle Garden at the moment while waiting for Real Racing 2 to drop on the Australian store.

I'll pick up Broken Sword 2 somewhere down the line as I finished it on PC not too long ago. And I will wait for some more impressions or a price drop for Yoot Tower before buying.

Dungeon Defenders looks interesting. It's the first I've heard of it, so who knows. Maybe i'll pick it up when it shows up too as long as the price is reasonable.

Even though I have hesitant to buy RPGs, I'm definitely sold on Aralon. Looks great.

Yeah I'm still having a great time with Real Racing 1. If it runs at 60fps on iPod Touch 4, then I'll jump ship to RR2.

A few questions,if I may.
1. How do you highlight spoiler text on GAF browsing on the iPad?
2. Can anybody recommend any creation tools? I like to just play with making things, regardless of what it may be. Clothes, maps, games, etc
3. Are there any racing games that allow for car customization?

Edit: Aralon looks nice

We're working on a preview feature for the next update. In the meantime, we're uploading video's of all tracks to Youtube, so you're able to check them out before you buy :)

1. Use this to browse Neogaf on the iphone/ipad: http://www.secondapps.com/neogaf/ then just tap the spoilered text for it to show.

2. Adobe Ideas is a pretty cool drawing app and also free. Check out others like Sketchbook if you're interested. If you're into music creation there are a whole bunch, too many to name.

3. Real Racing 2 which will be out within the next few hours most likely has some basic car customisation I think. It will probably be the best racing game on iOS when its out.

Definitely glad I finished Infinity Blade yesterday. I will be picking these up for sure

- Real Racing 2
- Aralon: Sword & Shadow
- N.O.V.A. 2
- Shadow Guardian
- Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (by EA) - Brilliant move by EA making this 99 cents!
- Cause of Death (by EA) (Free updates every week...I'm sold!)
- Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light - Could not be more pumped for this!!

LOVE the core gameplay, but really feel that you don't even get close to the right amount of content. £0.59 for a 1.5 minute track is terrible value, whetehr it's for charity or not. If the app was £2.39 with, say, 20 songs (which is easily comparable with Rock Band, as a close neighbour) I would a) buy it, b) recommend that everybody I know buy it, c) play loads, and then probably buy DLC for it. As it is, there isn't enough for me to invest anything, I'm afraid.

As I said, though: the basic game is brilliant.

EDIT: Anybody know when Papa Sangre is being released? It was meant to be before Christmas. That's my most anticipated iOS game now...

Thanks for the feedback, We're able to change the business model for the game, we will definitely experiment more with that over the following weeks.

In the meantime, we'll also release new tracks, some of them free for a limited period of time. So keep track of the game :)

Just downloaded Aralon! Looks pretty nice.. Not liking the touch controller but really hyped to dig in

Games I will be buying immediately for the Thursday madness: Real Racing 2

Games I'm heavily interested in: Lara Croft (if it's as solid port it's a sure buy),
Aralon (really looking forward to reviews, see if it's not just "impressive for the iOs" and actually a great game.

Games I might get: NOVA 2. If it's fun it's fun.

looks nothing like the console/pc version and I think it's just called "bad company"

hm, alright :( maybe i just stick to Real Racing! Bought the PC Version of Tomb Raider some months ago and and barely played it so far. wouldn't be right to buy it :lol even though i'm pretty sure i will prefer the touch controls much more than the keyboard because i just can't handle it :(

Very excited about Dungeon Defenders.

same, I remember commenting they have a winner if they develop it more when the original UDK "dungeon defense" demo came out. It's impressive what they did in less than a year
