Snagging the ipad version right now. I hope this trend of re-releasing old point and clicks continues.

Blade Runner would be a dream come true, but it sounds very unlikely. According to an article in a recent Edge, licensing is a nightmare and the archive is most likely lost. An updated port is nearly out of the question.

Man I loved Blade Runner on the PC... I thought it was so impressive at the time, not as much anymore. Still great atmosphere tho.

Aw yeah Broken Sword is free on the UK store too! Just been playing Monkey Island for the past 2 hours, I'm getting the feeling that adventure games work really really well on the iDevices.

On a side note, I can't believe that I got to 27 without having played Monkey Island, this game is brilliant. I've just bought the second one too, save me buying it at three times the price later on. The hint system is just the best idea ever, I remember playing the Discworld games and Day of the Tentacle as a kid and being so frustrated. This just makes the games a joy to play, I'm enjoying the dialogue and scenarios more than just wanting to go grab a faq, brilliant idea.

OK, banging one in off the crossbar in Flick Kick Football is such a sweet feeling.

We have had multiple people suggest we should have some kind of crossbar challenge mode where you have to hit the crossbar on purpose. I'm not sure myself or the team see that as compelling though, and are focusing on extending the game in other areas.

Thoughts?

More people need to pick this up (and play the multiplayer).
Also, every one of these best iPhone game lists that doesn't include FKF is a failure.

I wouldn't make a dedicated mode just on that alone. It's just one of those cool things that you can do in the game that is highlighted by the slo-mo cam.

If you were to integrate that skill into the game, I'd probably develop a mode where you are rewarded for taking more difficult shots during the Arcade mode. Like, if you decide to shoot between two defenders you'll get more points than taking an easier route. And if you hit it off the crossbar, you get bonus points or something. I could see that being rewarding, but definitely not a "Hit Crossbar Mode" or anything like that.

Zones that are concentric circles (er, rectangles) with point values that increase as they near the crossbar, please.

Bought Prince of Persia: Warrior Within but didn't know what to expect. It's actually a fairly decent port. I'd say it's worth $0.99.

This sentence had me intrigued, checked it out on the app store, thought hey, why not...

Epic 30 minute trip to the bathroom later and YEAH TOTALLY WORTH IT!

We have the skill zone shots, but will continue to see where we can add more depth. What you and xbhaskarx suggest is also feedback we have had before too.

Wow. Dude I love your game! Been playing it like a motherfuck these days! Fat props!

On the crossbar mode thing, TBH I've been thinking that when you miss by hitting the crossbar or one of the posts, you should only lose half a life :lol

And I would KILL for you guys to expand the game by developing some sort of defending gameplay (moving the goalkeeper for example) to enable an active multiplayer mode (vs 2p or CPU). One guy shoots, one guy defends :O_

I'd love it.

But seriously, love your game. Got it a week ago and it's already one of my all-time favorites!

NOW THE BAD: on the arcade mode, there is a free kick around the #80ish that is frigging impossible! Out of nowhere, you suddenly have to score a direct corner from the right to left with a defending wall! Come ooooon :lol
Also I'm pretty sure that I've hit 20 targets and that achievement didn't count >:O
Also, replays (with saving option)! DO IT!!! :D

Again, much respect. Yo game is tha bomb! Hope you expand the hell out of it because the gameplay is simply beautiful.

Man, I almost feel bad for getting all these good games for free. iPhone/ipad/Steam gaming is sooooo good. so much awesome for so little money.

High shot over the wall with a medium curve on it :)

You should be able to go into the practise mode and retry it.

Absolutely love the game and bought it when it first came out, but I have to ask... why does it get so easy after you reach 100 in arcade mode?

I could be wrong but I think there were only 100 crafted levels created, then it switches over to recycling and random levels.

Oh yeah I know. The skill zone shots are good for statistics (and fun when you nail one), but it would be cool if you were tangibly rewarded for hitting one (and maybe an extra "point" or something for a hit off the crossbar - which apparently I've done 444 times!). I guess it would be a different scoring system than what the Arcade Mode currently tracks. Perhaps similar to the Bullseye Mode, but with defenders and a goalkeeper.

Think of the different scoring methods that Fruit Ninja allows for. You get extra points for combos, a +10 critical hit every now and then, etc. I'm not sure what the best way to approach it would be...whether to have a mode where skill zone shots give you "extra points" or what, but I think the possibilities are there to rewarding a skillful shot.

Just a thought, though. The game kicks butt already :)

Ah, that makes sense because the difficulty drop off is quite severe. Do you know if there is any intention of crafting more levels past 100?

This is a great game. Clones Picross perfectly and it's free.

I got stuck half way through the very first puzzle in that, and deleted it :lol
The first puzzle was quite hard indeed, at least for a picross beginner like me :)
Now I've completed the first 12 puzzles.

Don't forget you can use hints if you're really stuck

Is ad-hoc wifi sufficient to use this one?

Man, Dodonpachi R is the best iOs game I've played
Till now (and much better than Espgaluda imo) and even without a proper HD version it plays 100x better on the iPAD!

also, is there a way to make a custom ipad virtual keybord? I don't need to shift keys for example, but not having cursor keys left/right is definitely a detriment to my sanity :P

I must say that I was one of the big doubters, but the Onlive Viewer is amazing. On my AWFUL connection (1Mbp/s DL) it runs perfectly smooth. I cannot run Youtube on my iPad, since the buffer time is like 5x the actual viewing time. Really great tech.

I'm interested to know more, what exactly is that this app does?

And even using the youtube app doesn't do it for you?

Kinda OT, but I'm looking for some great GRE apps. Anyone here have some recommendations?

I know this is a douchey answer but I'd suggest just getting a GRE book. That helped me. Although I didn't have my Touch at that point so there might just be apps that do the job.

The New Year Promotion has ended and I just wanted to thank everyone that downloaded my game. I got some nice download numbers and I'm pleased that so many more people were able to try the game out.

It's already led to some more notoriety for the game and I was even interviewed for a podcast, which was pretty exciting! (too bad it comes out in February though). And there should be another feature coming soon.

Check out what I was rocking New Year's Eve: (The flash kills a lot of the detail, it looks quite nice in person though)

Have you tried the DNS fix for your iPad? I had absolutely horrible Youtube performance on mine and searched around since all other internet stuff worked fine (Netflix streamed perfectly etc) and found some ppl saying that changing your DNS settings to some open DNS addresses for your iPad fixed it up. For me I used googles public DNS addresses (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) but changing it on my iPad didn't do much, however changing the DNS on my router made a HUGE improvement. Youtube streams normally now, so I don't have to buffer 5 minutes in order to watch 3 minutes of a starcraft 2 cast anymore. ;)

I use iPad for SC2 casts the most as well. :lol

I'll try this, thanks.

That alone already kinda gives me a nice vibe :)

Much appreciated! There may be a trace of Baron von Blubba's pixels in that sprite... :lol

No worries. I've been going through the Barron's GRE book but want to supplement it with some decent vocab and math apps. I've tried a few demos already...

Just picked up Chaos Rings. Not a bad game at all.
