Is it crazy that I have no idea how to access any kind of user library?

Seems like the phone just kind of learns what words I change all the time that I haven't needed it I guess?

as for it being worse.. aside from fir I find it to be really good.

as for adding words.. easiest way is to just keep correcting the word. it will eventually learn it on its own as a result. Of course now somehow my phone has "learned" ive (instead of I've) and I can't figure out how to delete just that. :(

edit - settings -> general -> keyboard you can add your own words.. still not sure what to do about auto-learned words though.
 
Fuck yes...LogMeIn just updated with iOS4 support...I can put my session in the background and come right back into it without dropping the connection...somehow....

How does online play work in Carcassone? Is it like Words with Friends where you can wait a while before making your turn?

Yes, exactly. I'm pretty sure ranked quickplay matches are live (never quite figured out exactly how those worked) but all friend matches are push notification.

Well I got a replacement iPhone4 during my genius bar appointment today due to the battery issue. They didnt noticed any problems but said they would replace it anyway. I figure why not? Just got done charging it to 100% so we'll see how this battery works. Now if I only I could rectify getting shitty 3G service at my desk. Even when I have 3-4 bars of 3g at my desk apps have a helluva time loading if they need an internet connection. Anyone else experiencing problems where you have 3G service but really cant get much of a data connection?

Let us know how the new battery does.

As far as 3g goes, too many cubicles can degrade signal quality even though you have bars. Happens to me in the inside 1/3 of my cubicle.

Also for autocorrect, a word of advice: welll will give you we'll

It is using the task completion API I believe. Your connection will only last max ten minutes but that's much better than nothing. This is how the irc apps have been updated as well. I think it's a reasonable solution, as now we can pop out to an SMS or im or email without losing connections.

I will for sure. It already seems better honestly. This 3g thing is infuriating me though. I'm sitting here with 4 bars trying to download an app and the wheel is just spinning while it says "Loading" with no progress bar movement. I'm tempted to restore as a new phone instead of from backup but I don't know if it will make a difference at this point.
 
Just ran the battery down a second time. Got better standby times but less actual usage (6h 6 m usage, 45 hr standby compared to 7 h usage, 41 hr standby first charge). To be fair, I did more extensive, battery draining type activities this time (played iBlast Moki and Angry Birds a lot, watched the first episode of Futurama Season 6, wrote several e-mails, talked on the phone and sent a good amount of texts) which probably explains the drop in usage.

I have to say though, I'm very impressed and satisfied with the battery if these first two charges are any indication. It's pretty amazing that I'm only charging my battery for the 2nd time since Saturday.

Secondly. What's the best twitter client? I am using the official client but now they've added admob ads and its fucking annoying. I don't mind paying only if it's ad free

what. hold on. twitter for iPhone (nee tweetie 2) doesn’t have any ads that I can see. I’ve been using it daily for weeks and there’s no ads.

anyway, you can pay 5 bucks (in app purchase) for twitteriffic 3. ipad/iphone universal app. very minimalistic.

other folks really like echofon, twittelator pro, osfoora and tweetdeck
 
I feel a little better about how crappy 3G is in my office now. There is a guy 3 cubes in front of me that has the 4 and he has the same 3G issues as me. I guess our office just blows for 3G. I wish they'd let us use WiFi in here. If I wasn't afraid of getting fired for it, I'd so set up a wireless router in my cube haha.

The official client doesn't have ads and is the best. Are you sure that's what you're using?

Ahhh ok, thats what I though

It kinda sucks because the link automatically opens inside Twitter and it's so much more easier reading it then going over to safari, but in Safari there isn't that same ad at the top!

But you're right, it is the best client, so fucking well designed and the pull down and release to reload tweets is bum clenchingly good

I also have sketchy 3G coverage at my job and my phone does the same thing (my iPhone 3G did it too). I actually get full 3G bars but slow downloads at times. Its just the lousy coverage in that area. Overall I am getting better speeds on my iPhone 4 than I was on the iPhone 3G at my job though.

For those of you looking for bumpers you should call your local Apple Store. Mine had like 50 of the things in when I went there today (black only). Apparently they got a huge shipment of them in this morning. Hopefully those of you looking for one will have similar luck. I'm using it now and I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet.

Are they carrying bumpers at all? I don't think they are but I could be wrong. If they do carry them I doubt they have colors because the Apple Stores aren't even carrying those yet.
