The last old/previous-gen game you've bought?

Got this about a month ago when I was trying to fill my Saturn collection

GTA: San Andreas. Despite the technical limitations, I have to say that I like it a good deal more than IV.

Although, I'd say the two best last gen purchases I've ever made were Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Persona 4.

About 67 games for SNES/N64/PSone/GBA in the last 6 months, with Tales of Phantasia (GBA) being the most recent arrival (today).

Ask me the last time I bought a current gen game: Metroid back in January.

I got this for 100 yen at a recycle shop. Now I think I owned nearly every version of this game released.

Aww you just took me back man...

Can't even remember the last old game I bought (Beyond Good & Evil for GC maybe?), but I've been thinking about tracking down another NES for games like Little Nemo, Castlevania 3 and The Guardian Legend.

Last ones I bought were Digital Devil Saga and Digital Devil Saga 2. Wanted to get them for my SMT collection while I still have money and before they go out of print and get super-pricey.

Did you get the one that comes as a set together in a neat sleeve?

I think it was Donkey Konga. I bought the bongos for around $2 at GS previously but had no game. Not really thinking, I picked it up under the impression that it was the platformer. Boy was I wrong.

Before that I think it was MMX Collection on PS2.

Get DK: Jungle Beat. That was the platformer and from what I hear a very good one.

Despite playing the demo to death back in the day, I kind of dismissed the Spyro games, along with a bunch of other non-Nintendo platformers from that era, for no real reason. But thanks to my love for Insomniac, and a general craving for a PS1 game or a platformer or something, I decided to buy the first Spyro on PSN and give it a go. Right away I was surprised by how well it holds up. I can't stop playing, and I'm probably going to buy the other two as soon as I'm done. I wish I hadn't put off playing it for so long.

Either Dragon Quest VIII or Sly Cooper. I bought them a couple months apart about 9 months ago but haven't played them yet so don't recall which was more recent. I paid $10 new for each, DQ8 from an Amazon sale and Sly in a Meijer bargain bin.

I bought Baiten Kaitos: Origins, Valkyrie Profile 2, Dirge of Cerberus, and Rogue Galaxy within the last month or so.

Sometimes Gamestop isn't all that bad. Got it 2 weeks ago for $5

On a Gamecube with the elusive component cable and an HDTV or via the Wii, the game still looks gorgeous.

So many people picking up Baten Kaitos and Origins in this thread... makes me happy to see that the game is starting to get a little love, finally. Is it due to the Xenoblade hype, that these games have seen a slight resurgence in popularity?

Combat sucks, but the mood/music/graphics are great. I realized I was coming at it all wrong, its not about combat, its about survival.

Found a Dreamcast at a thrift store a few months ago, payed less than ten bucks for it (no controllers or games with it, but it works). I bought Jet Grind Radio, Typing of the Dead, Virtua Tennis 2K2, and THPS2. Never had one back in the day and I'm enjoying it!

I saw a copy of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories:RE (PS2) in the clearance aisle at Target for $5 and picked it up about a year or so ago.

It's still wrapped in plastic.

XenoSaga 3. I finally convinced myself that it was not going to come any lower than the $20 price point and that I should be lucky just to get it with a case intact. I can't imagine what I'll do if one of the disks are scraped up to bad.
I won't buy it again, I'd probably just emulate.

Took me a while to figure out what the last previous gen game I bought was...

It's umm.. interesting.

I envy you.

I remember picking it up when Target had it for like $10. I gave it an honest shot, but man the difficulty ramped up big time at a certain point.
