Update if you aren't rooted. Update won't harm anything. If you have root don't.
It's basically the same interface. Not sure if it'll erase everything on your phone.
Lollipop I'd imagine should make your phone even more smooth since it's using a new runtime.
mine has the same speed and didn't erase a thing.
Has some minor upgrades but nothing profound, only the swipe left or right to close applications will affect your use of the phone
the swipe apps alone is worth it

Holy shit, so I got the G3 from AT&T Next and was expecting the 16GB Rom/2GB Ram version. I got the 32GB Rom/3GB Ram version for $16/month. It's an amazing phone for the price. I can't see paying more for an S5 or Note 4.
What is this about?
Is it of I swipe to the left the app will close? Or can I swipe from one app to another?

Does anyone know how to disable the Voice Mate thing? I am having some kind of glitch that happens everytime I put my headphones in and it's seriously annoying.
In this view if you swype left or right the app you close it
But that's the same on KitKat. =/

I got update for my att g3 a couple of weeks ago but but not sure what it was about. I love this phone it even got compliments from 6 plus users at work, they must not have been real Apple fans.

Probably means a soft roll out for at least one of the big 4 next week. There is light at the end of the tunnel, but don't expect anything yet.

Seems like AT&T might be first up or one of the first up. That syncs right up with the tweet from LG. I very much expect a soft roll out starting next week. With a wider stage roll out in the coming weeks if the soft launch doesn't break anything.

Not true. One Plus One has some sort of customization as well. It does not have an IR blaster though.

For such a lowly touted feature, I use the ir blaster every day. Even at random places like the airport and work, along with my home theater and my bedroom tv.
And I absolutely need the button customization. Google's mass removal of the menu button is completely egregious, and I disagree with majority of layouts.

Not even in customization? Right now, left to right, I have my buttons set to menu, home, and back. No better way, in my opinion.

Ugh, just as I feared. I don't want that button built into the top of my apps, I want it in the home touch buttons like it always has been. This is like Apple's simplicity-to-a-fault design mantra and is exactly what I hate.
Give me more options, quit taking them away and calling it a feature, a la Apple.

I recently switched a nexus 5 to a G3 and the batery, despite being touted as better, is actually much worse. Another thing is that it gets hot very fast.

Unfortunately this is a general problem with the G3, especially the 16gig model.
I guess the 16 GB version has an issue? My 32 GB version has no issues. Love it still.

Ouch, I though mine wad a 32gb but it is a 16.
I Just realized that it also has 1Gb o ram less. I am starting to regret this purchase...
Btw what is the issue exactly, I haven,t found anything about it.
