The 64 GB SKU is at 499 which is a good enough price for the HW used in the SE and considering its apple.

My iPad Air 2 has 16GB and it's enough for me.

Good for you, 16GB is nowhere near enough for me(and I'm not even an app junkie) and my work will never approve anything except the base model.

Base model should be 32GB, especially since the OS takes up a huge chunk of that space, I'm not sure why Apple is still regressive when it comes to that.

These new features are trash, this is basically a 9.7 iPad Pro, and there is nothing wrong with that.

I was so confused about the iPad Pro there for a moment. I thought the current iPad pro was 9.7 inches, so them acting like it was new thing was really baffling.

Turns out the current iPad pro is actually 12 inches.

Greatest accessory Apple has ever made.

You blew it.

they 100% are. you need to think about the larger population with older folks who know how to use an iPad but not Windows. there's a lot of them.

I understand that - but this is an iPad Pro they're discussing, not a standard iPad. They're marketing this towards the power users.

And why would grandma need an iPad Pro instead of a $200 Amazon tablet?

The price is $600 for 32GB.

$100 more to let you spend $250 more on a keyboard and pencil. Sigh

Nothing about this says it is worth $100 more except 'apple'. Retina wasn't a price increase, so why is this? Just take your accessory profit and leave the device price alone

Apple is really digging deep for these quotations.

Woah adapters! Awesome

Card readers and ports that aren't on this Pro Device

True-tone is actually pretty unbelievable. It's certainly an "at fucking last" feature for me. It'll be one of those developments that seems unnecessary to begin with, but in a few years you'll at screens from the past (which have really poor self-awareness) and it'll look intrinsically ancient. Adaptive reflectivity and measuring light-angles would be other innovations that I'd love to see (not holding my breath though)

Old people. Happens all the time.

My grandma's laptop has been collecting dust since we got her an iPad. All she does is Facebook and games, so it works for her.
I've done 90% of my work on an iPad pro the last few months. It's actually pretty great for meetings and collaborative work, you can just pass it around the table.
