What if they were holding back the release of the OST to add these songs?
I love it but I will repeat it again:
Why put these beautiful musics but not a sound menu to adjust sound FX and sound tracks volume? This is beyond me
I almost feel like starting a petition XD
PS: Super Bell Subway is lovellyyyyy !

Agreed. Ever since I had saw some of the concept art for SM3DW, I want a big, fat art book that is stuffed with development art, concept pieces, renders.... the works!I would drop a lot of cash on an art book showing pre-production concept art and environments as well as a soundtrack for Mario Kart 8.
No lies.
The DLC2 of Mario Kart 8 continues the tradition of the original Mario Kart 8 and the DLC1 with great attention to the music tracks.
Nintendo has now posted recording session videos for all the non-retro tracks of the DLC2. Here are the videos, with a list of the skilled musicians appearing on-screen in the videos.

Damn this music is great. Dying to play MK8 but the price never drops, might break soon.

The MK8 OST arriving next week for CN Japan might indicate:
1. The generally Western design of the artwork points toward a non-Japanese release of the OST
2. Nintendo has no plans for more DLC tracks for MK8
Holy heck I hope Club Nintendo Europe will release this soon. I would happily spend my remaining star points on this.

I must be the only one that absolutely hates the new rendition of Big Blue. Saxaphone murders that song. Much prefer the original. I wish they'd let you pick the song that plays on tracks like Brawl. Track will not get a lot of play at my house.
Edit: I'm really getting tired of saxaphone songs in mario kart in general.
Seriously, the Big Blue arrangement sounds like a song from a heavy Progressive Rock band from the 90s. It is just so freaking good!! Still mad the update for this thursday doesn't have a sound option to turn up the volume of the songs. This is a sin. Having an amazing soundtrack like this and not being able to listen it properly unless it's on youtube with all the downgrade in quality sound.
Actually...the songs(including the upcoming dlc) have been ripped from the game already in high quality
Enjoy some cheese

I always mistake MK8 threads as Mortal Kombat threads, :-/

The lack of a sound test/options is questionable after 9 games...especially when smash has it.
I have the soundtrack preordered on Club Nintendo Japan.
The estimated release date is June/July. Long wait.

This tune right here. the funky japanese guitar dude, it's tooo much
Your criticism, while understandable, is still a weird one. The F-Zero series (especially the SNES & N64 games) have always had a big woodwind/bass guitar influence, more so with the Big Blue & Whiteland tracks. Nintendo had even released a jazz-arranged soundtrack of the SNES game back in the day, & I would urge you to check it out.I know i'm the minority in this but not exactly a fan of the saxophone in Big Blue.
And generally, i don't like how many tunes in this game and many other later Mario games tend to sound like something you would listen to a casino. Every time i listen to Mario 3D World soundtrack (for instance) i can't keep the image of Mario and gang in tuxedos playing roulette and black jack.
Not a fan at all.
