The N7 Day 2016 Thread

I am not a fan of either cover at all. Looks like a different game.

That said, my hype about this is through the roof. Remaster or not, I'm starting my last trilogy playthrough tonight.

So they aren't going to use the female model as lead marketing model ? I am quite shocked.

The weathered N7 armor makes me think this isn't either MC but rather their father.

It's probably too early to ask this, but will there be controller support on the PC version? I want to play this on the couch with my wife demanding I make certain dialog decisions here and there, but I want to do that via my Shield TV instead of my PS4.

If fans theories are correct, the Arks are in response to the Reaper threat. As the Reapers would be cleansing the Milky Way, they had to go to another galaxy.
I know using logic is kinda' stupid with regard to game plots (and film plots often) but whatever technology we had to travel to another galaxy I'd be pretty damn sure the more advanced Reapers would have or if they didn't they'd soon get it after indoctrinating enough people from Earth etc. And who's to say the Reapers haven't done the same already in Andromeda?
I hope Bioware have a different plot myself.

Almost certainly. Dragon Age Inquisition did even though it didn't really need it on PC. I'm certain that this game will as controller support makes more sense. Bioware may even have said there'll be controller support.

That's pretty clearly a man. Especially if you compare the arms to the leaked GameInformer art. The standard cover is far more ambiguous.

Why that is clearly a man? Because of masculine stance? Arm difference can come from armor model / tier differences alone. If we ignore masculine stance because men and women alike can stand like that there isn't anything telling about if it's he or she.

Edit: Read few comments above this. So we assume that bulky armor == man and battlebikinibodytight armor == woman?

So any word on if they are making space travel interesting in this one? They seem very much again focused on planetary TPS gameplay which is sad.

Standard it is, then. Also, synopsis mentions 4 player max so I'm assuming it's only horde mode / co-operative again, and no competitive bullshit. THANK CROM for the relieve. It would be nice if they could do 60 fps for the online mode, as Uncharted does, and this is Frostbite after all.

Dragon Age Inquisition got controller support so I'd say there is a high chance.

Maybe they are desperately trying to escape Earth's growing number of micro-transactions in full price games?

You know it's gonna have em.

Anyone remember that Robo-Dog you got from the Collectors and(?) Deluxe Edition of ME3?

Was really disappointed that you couldnt bring him on missions, heck I couldnt even find him for like half of the game. lol

Edit: Oh yea, Covers look great but I prefer the one with the helmet only.

Whenever Shepard approaches him, he always greets him and says good boy simultaneously. On all of my files. Always.

It's the strangest thing.

Well, no. It's not as strange as the broken-necked full-head-tilt that Shepard and Liara always do in that one conversation.

i dunno if i can call this my favorite series, but Me2 is definitely my favorite game. so yeah...I got a Ps4 pro preordered and I'll be playing this on that next year.

Tekken 7, Me4, Yakuza 0, Persona 5...Horizon Zero Dawn

Q1 is too crowded yo

I've been gaming since the 2600. Mass Effect struck a chord with me that no other game did. In all of my years of gaming Mass Effect was the first game that just had it all Story, Character, Action, Mechanics and visuals all wrapped up in a candy-coated Sci-Fi exterior.

I came late to the universe. It was 6 months after the first game dropped that I picked it up for 360. After that, I was hooked. As long as Bioware keeps delivering, I'll keep playing.

But that's the gameplay of Mass Effect. There are ton of games where you fly spaceships, not so many games that focus on on-foot combat in a sci-fi space opera world.

Do we know anything about coop yet?

There's a multiplayer mode that supports up to 4 players.

The mention of "multiplayer mode", as well as past history, tells us that it's a separate mode distinct from the main campaign, which is likely single player only.

So, how much time until trailer hits?

2-5 hours, unless it leaks early. Supposed to be between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. PST.

Surely it will, Inquisition had full support that worked great on PC (that's how I played it) and I plan on playing on the couch on my PC, Elite controller in hand.

I still find it hard to fathom the original trilogy didn't have controller support, boggles my mind.

No, it's just that we've seen a female in the same armor on the GameInformer cover. Her torso proportions were not the same as the person on the cover. Not to mention the undersuit of the armor looks form fitting which is why the arm size sticks out. Stance has nothing to do with it. It could be a woman, but it very likely is not.

The old reddit leak mentioned having manual control of your ship instead of a galaxy map so who knows.

Yes, it will be an 8 min walkthrough video with March 7, 2017 release date

That's...awfully specific, unless you're yanking our chains?? lol

Yeah I'm pretty sure that the person on the box arts is Dad Ryder. Guy must be really important to the story.

It was confirmed that we would have both Ryder siblings I'm the game right? At the same time with you playing as one of them?

Villains usually are important to the story.

We pick one, but afaik another will hang around as NPC. Think DA2, but you get to choose one out of the sisters.

Wait what?

Also, Oh so kind of like Dragon Age 2 except with less banter between the two and less people shipping them together like they did with Hawke and Bethany.

I'm kinda disappointed we play as the offspring of the initial dude on the Ark. I thought the whole point was being the first from the ME galaxy to go to the new galaxy...

Probably a dumb question, but do we know when this game takes place? Is it before or after the trilogy? The description I read in the other thread makes it sound like it's a prequel.
