The N7 Day 2016 Thread

Omg, I put in my ME3 disc and it's downloading 15.63gb!

I normally don't say this, but I think to truly enjoy ME3 properly, you have to have all the DLC +EC, which is a shame: because if it released like that in the initial version, the storm would have been averted one would think.

*All* the DLC? I would probably classify Leviathan and definitely Omega as optional DLC for ME3.

The greatest sin of ME3 is that while it's the best game in the trilogy, it costs $100 rather than $60 and was only complete 2 years after the game released.

So....close...

4 and a half years of waiting coming to an end.

It's kind of surreal, isn't it? I'm sure some of us recall getting that test footage in mid-2014 and watching it dozens of times. Here we are two-and-a-half years after that and the real info is finally about to begin.

Omega, sure. It's kinda bleh and superfluous, but still fun enough.

Leviathan adds a bunch of lore stuff (not entirely needed but nice. The series was never about fan interpretations ala Dark Souls anyway) and Citadel is basically fan service but done about as right as it can be.

Omega sure but Leviathan i thought was ok and seemed to add a lot more history to the background of the reapers and did add additional dialog to the ending.

Citadel DLC is a must own for ME3 and is almost compulsory (not for story reasons but purely for exceptional character development).

Extended Cut:
Duh.

From Ashes:
Javik is a damn requirement.

Leviathan:
As close to mandatory as possible without being truly mandatory, I'd say. It's damn close though. It ought to be included, sure.

Omega:
Certainly the most optional fare. It wraps up a secondary plot thread, though. But it's nowhere near the level of these others in this regard (or any regard, really).

Citadel:
You can't spell "Mass Effect 3" without it.

Omega had some pretty fantastic combat puzzles. It's not particularly essentially from a story standpoint, but it's got oodles of great gameplay.

It improved it, but the ending was still shit.

Citadel DLC is the real ending.

This so much.

I didn't care about the actual ending after playing Citadel. I didn't hate the OG ending anyways, but it was just "you saved the galaxy, all's well". Citadel added that personal ending to ME3, and it did so oh so well. The best DLC in the trilogy by far, imo. And that final picture by the couch... I'm feeling nostalgic just thinking about it.
