I have a question, I live in the states and I have one of these:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000NOPDH8/

but mine is broken. I wanted to buy that to replace my broken one for my upcoming apartment but apparently they won't let me ship that to the States. >:[

Is there any way I could buy something similar to that here in america or have some generous euro gaffer to ship it to me?

heres a couple of pics of my condo that i bought a little over a year ago, its my first place (lived with my parents for 3 years after college to save up for down payment) and i hope to turn it into a rental once i move out into a real house

My house. Just found these pics from last winter on my laptop, I'd forgotten I had them. Quite an unusual design for a British residence with all the angles on the roof, I think. Looks very... American to me, somehow.

Need to get some decent interior shots sometime.

Lovely looking house Mascot - I guess the pics were taken last November/December (what with all the snow we had).

Which part of the UK are you from where you can live in an 'Americanised' mansion like that?

Thanks, but lol @ 'mansion'..! Just your typical 4 bed/2 bath with a conservatory out the back. Had some remodelling inside to make it more open plan but I wish it had a basement like most American homes seem to. Also, I'd never buy another house without an attached double garage - so, so, SO useful.

Location is the south west of the UK. That's as accurate as you'll get ;)

'South West' is accurate enough for me (I'm just the other side of the bridge funnily enough)! Mansion might have been an overkill but 'typical' and '4 bed' don't go in the same sentance for me (yet!). Im still renting a one-bed, top floor flat in a terraced house. Though on the plus side it's close to the City Centre without being right amongst the hustle & bustle.

Seems impossible in this country as a singleton to get a reasonable mortgage on a house with *any* number of bedrooms. Still, for the time being, I'm happy with my current space - will try and post some pics after work.

For interior design GAF, here's a very rudimentary render of the flat i'm buying.
it's around 95 square metres (around 1000 square feet)

anyone fancies interior designing the shit out of it ? :D

Nothing new in my apartment, just decided to post a pic my girlfriend took, which is in a different angle than the earlier ones.
