How can an announcement be delayed if it's never been announced?

It's more likely Nintendo would delay the announcement to January to not lose press coverage to Red Dead.

Investors clearly responded very well to Nintendo's mobile strategy. Wouldn't surprise me if half the meeting is focused on GO, Mario Run, and any other mobile projects at the investors meeting. It's the direction investors want Nintendo to go in.
