Bah

Canada .26 behind going into tomorrow

Have they finished the women's qualifying too? How is Hollingsworth doing?

:lol Just leave that poor man alone. He was obviously way too cocky going in and now he is on DEFCON 2 damage control.

Plush stepping onto the top of the podium before dropping to the second was:

a) Cute
b) Classless
c) Hilarious
d) A symbolic passing of the torch

?

I should just stop watching the Olympics now...it can't possibly get better than this from here on out.

Just be happy with how your country does if it bugs you that much that the US is first. Im really proud that Canada is in the top 5 :D

Not a good day for Russia, eh ? Losing a gold in figure skating and SLV in hockey ?
However, Canada barely edged out Switzerland in hockey, so nothing really to cheer about either. Our continue dominance in curling and GOOOOLDDD in speed skating is sweet though :D

Well, Plushenko deserves what he gets, taking three years off the circuit and expecting to come back on top. He's the most consistent man on the planet, but that he got beat means something.

I thought he deserved the silver too, but I'm sure Russians would have wanted to see gold from him. Much like what happened in women mogul's final, the American simply did better and got the gold.

I was watching CAN-GER today but I tuned out when it went into extra ends for CAN-SUI.

My friend said Canada got the last rock in the 11th - how did that happen? Didn't Canada have the final rock in the 10th, too? Is it decided by a coin flip like in football?

How safe is buying tickets for Olympics on Craigslist? =/ Any remote crap that can happen to deactivate tickets and screwing the buyer over?

I think the reason there are four years between every Final Fantasy is because the character designers wait to get their costume ideas for the male lead from Olympic figure skating.

I now really wish I'd watched in 2006 when a guy in a giant afro participated, then.

I remember how everybody was so excited for the first home gold medal, and now Canada has 3. :D

Certainly nothing to be disappointed in, at all.

How's the income determined here? I'm sure the vast majority of NHL players would be on that list if it's by yearly salary.

I don't know, to be honest. It's Forbes, so it should be trustworthy, but yeah they must have some sort of clause which puts top NHL pros out of competition.

If EU countries competed under one banner it would own all.

Union member medals
Gold: 8
Silver: 11
Bronze: 15

But it would be no fun. Competing against your neighbor is the most fun. :D

Today might be a medal-less day for Canada. Seems like we only have a medal hopeful men's Super-G but so far our alpine teams have been choking. Maaaaybbeee women's skeleton can get a medal too, who knows.
