Moar Tracy Morgan plz ! :D

He always make me laugh.. every character is funny as hell tough.

I think 30 Rock's great, but not that consistent. For instance the second season had quite a few duds mixed in with the good ones. It's Always Sunny is on another level altogether. The way that show is going right now... it could rise up to classic status fast. You could say it already has

I thought last night's epsiode was hystercial.

"No Grandma stop it!!" and then she slaps the guy in the face...

I thought Jenna as a black man was hysterical, and then when I saw Tracy's monster claw I lost it.

Everything about that episode just clicked...

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is still the funniest show on TV right now. 30 Rock is a very close second.

I agree. As much as I love The Office, it's had a couple of weaker episodes. 30 Rock has been consistently awesome and it's great to see it finally getting some decent ratings. Alec Baldwin and Tracy Morgan have the advantage of making certain relatively low key lines hilarious just because of their delivery.

Always Sunny is just so far beyond everything else on television right now.

Grizz and Dot Com getting boats was hysterical... I love that they dressed up as commodores. :lol

Always Sunny is amazing but I think 30 Rock is the funniest thing on TV right now. Insane shit happens on both of them but I love the satire angle of 30 Rock too much for it not to be my personal favorite. Baldwin and Morgan have insane delivery.

Jenna in black face was fucking amazing and Tracey in the clown makeup and the monster claw was also brilliant.

Sunny did have the 80s music in full effect last week though, and I think it was one of the best episodes that show's ever had.

I agree about Jack and Tracy putting the show over the edge. Their deliveries have never once fallen flat. That's really what it is about the show.. each actor is the ultimate master of delivery, from Baldwin, to Morgan and even supporting cast like Rip Torn and Will Arnett. Some of the best working comedians around are all cast members on 30 Rock.

although FWIW, you guys have convinced me to grab at least the first season sight unseen for Always Sunny... will start on it this weekend.

borghe, start watching It's Always Sunny. You won't be disappointed.

I will agree that the role reversal last night was brilliant. Just seeing that monster claw had me laughing the entire time it was on screen.

I guess for me, it comes down to Always Sunny being funnier just because of the pacing. Characters regularly talk over one another and you'll have scenes where the whole crew is just doing their own things to a point where you miss out on some gags because you simply can't focus on everything at once. I love that personally. I can see your point about the satire angle though, 30 Rock is the best at self referential satire since my beloved Arrested Development.

Yep, this is how i've always felt about 30 Rock. It's a good show that has some great episodes and a lot of awesome moments sprinkled in some of its weaker offerings. It's a bit of a mixed bag, but always remains quite watchable.

I've really gotta catch up on Always Sunny. Haven't watched it since season 2.

Looks like 30 Rock did pretty well last night

NBC’s much-lauded “30 Rock” seems to have finally connected with its audience. The show, featuring special guest Oprah Winfrey last night, maintained 95 percent of last week’s solid debut audience, its second-best rating ever.

“Rock” averaged a 3.9 adults 18-49 rating, according to Nielsen overnights, down just 5 percent from last week’s 4.1 for its premiere.

The show finished third in its competitive 9:30 p.m. timeslot, behind ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and CBS’s “CSI,” though it bettered the latter among 18-34s, finishing second in the slot with a 4.6 rating.

Winfrey, playing herself, no doubt helped, and her guest spot was promoted during NBC’s highly rated “Saturday Night Live” special on Monday. But “Rock” also seems to have benefited from star and creator Tina Fey’s much-buzzed-about Sarah Palin impression on “SNL,” which brought lots of attention to “Rock” and got a huge amount of play online.

“Rock” maintained an impressive 93 percent of its “Office” lead-in.

So, just watched all of Season 1, 2 and the first 2 episodes of season 3 with my cousin, and while the show is amazing, 3 godly moments stand out:
1) "LET HIM THROUGH! - Suprisingly confident wig-wearing Pete"
2) Gris and Dot Com helping Tracy out of the mob then congratulating him for saving them.
3) "RUN KENNETH RUN!" as Pete shoots the douche Page with an arrow.

Simply amazing.

Oh and Kenneth pulling the trigger on himself last episode was great too.

Wait, she's on this show just to promote some stupid dog romantic comedy coming out on Christmas? Who the fuck goes to movies on Christmas Day anyway?

Tracy Morgan's gained a good amount of weight.

That's what it is! I was thinking he looked old.

Pretty funny episode though. This show has definitely surpassed The Office this season.

"Scottie Pippen requested a trade to Houston..."

:lol

:(

"Finally giving America what it wants...A reunion of Friends!......from Night Court.

:lol

:(

This one lost me by the third act - while the first act had some genius lines ("staunchly in favour of cocoa puffs" is my new synonym for crazy, and "Like an owl without a graduation cap - HEARTBREAKING" is my new favourite saying), and the second act did some fine work placing Claire as the drug to Jack's addict, the third act didn't really do anything to expand on either the Night Court storyline or Aniston's character, and it just kind of fell flat for me.

So I've only seen the third season of this show. Holy freaking crap, this show is hilarious! It's over in a flash and I'm constantly laughing the whole way though.

Is it worth going back to season 1 and 2?

Yes it is. Season 1 and 2 are great.

Tonight was the best ep of the season so far. Loved it.

best episode of the series. the first bit of TV in YEARS that had my side hurting from laughing so hard. the scene stealer once again was tracy and his kids.. I had to pause the DVR because I couldn't stop laughing during both the scene when they were just staring at him (Where do you think you're going?) and where his kid starts beating him with the lamp.

the pig moat was a very close runner up.

have this one permanently saved on the DVR. one of the funniest episodes of any show ever.

Animated GIF of Tracy flipping the picture down, revealing even sterner picture beneath.

Please.

30 Rock always has the best lines

Jack: Gavin is a fabulous guy. If I were dating a man, he’d be at the top of my list, with Michael Jordan, Denzel Washington, Taye Diggs. God, do I have a black thing.

Kenneth: What would this country be if the economy didn’t allow wealthy people to take advantage of rubes?

New episode tonight.

Also, some OMG AWESOME casting news:

http://www.etonline.com/news/2008/12/68461/

Love may be in the air for Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) on the NBC comedy "30 Rock," so which star has the show tapped as the man to "Rock" Tina's world?

Jon Hamm, of AMC's drama "Mad Men," will be guest-starring as Tina's new love interest, the Associated Press says.

The question remains will Hamm continue to appear on the show.

"I just finished a couple of episodes, and I'll go back in the new year and do another one of those," Jon tells the AP. "And then we'll see what happens."

The Golden Globe winner plays an advertising exec. on "Mad Men," but will be cast as doctor who lives in Liz Lemon's apartment building.

Be sure to catch "30 Rock" Thursday nights on NBC.
