So I have a question about HRA stuff. On my main floor I have a complete modern set. Can I not mix any other items on my main floor? Apparently I was getting a penalty for having a bunch of bonsai plants mixed in.

How many points did you get?

I got the modern set too, but also had pictures in that room, master sword & triforce and a Widescreen tv.

I got 77.000 points (though my middle floor had some random stuff as well).

When does it rot, or how long does it take? I just picked mine up off the floor, but they were OK after 4 hours.

59,000 points. I'm curious as to what else I can add to the room without being penalized. Because only having the modern stuff would be boring.

The table stuff is more complicated than it seems. Standing in the same place, choosing Place in Room for a Florence flask makes it go on the table, but drops 100 turnips to the floor. However, if something is already on the floor and I choose to drop the 100 turnips, it then goes onto the table.

Rolio I added you, please add me back?

Anyways for the people who have me on their list my gates will be open in 2-3 minutes... I'll be away for a bit but I'll leave it on.. My town is nothing special.. but whatever :lol

Yuna, I'm in your town right now, my first foray into the AC interweb ever!! This is so wild, as a past AC junkie on GCN I got to travel to other towns a few other times only. I'll tread lightly, and if there's anything I have in my meager possesion, I'll hook it up, boyee!

Just a quick note for anyone with me on their Friends List: My University connection is simply not going to work. The firewall does not give me enough access to the connection, and thus the WiFi Adapter is not allowing me to connect. I am quite annoyed by this, to be perfectly honest, but I'm also not too surprised. I could, theoretically, use it in the summer, but part of me is definitely tempted to try to return it to the store. I figure I got some good use out of it when I was at home, and I can deal with its loss for the future.

Still sucks, though. So those of you with me added, if you run out of room, delete me first. Thanks for the good times.

Return it? Most major retailers wont accept an opened video game back.

The WiFi Adapter, not the game. The game and I get along fine, heh.

I have everything that came with it, we'll see what they say.

uh, no.

they rot the following sunday no matter where you put them, table, floor, outside in the snow...

not a day before, not a day after...

I think he eans "put them on the table and they will never rot" and thats what I've heard too. You could stockpile turnips forever until an awesome price day, but where you gonna get space?? :(

My HRA was 129,500 today. But I have the right wing.

I'm one ite away from completing my regal set, I completed the modern set and my ranch set is nearing completion.

Heres what I believe to be "the deal".

There are 3 categories of items, series, sets and themes.

Series is stuff which all have the same name i.e. modern, lovely and so on. Don't mix these or you get a point deduction.

Then themes is stuff like Japanese theme, boxing theme etc. Related items but don't have the same name.

Sets are a bunch of the same item, for example bonsais or musical instruments.

I don't think you shoudld mix themes with themes or sets with sets either, I'm not sure about that though, I may have been penalised for having two sets of bonsai in one room. GameFaqs has a decent guide, but that doesn't give all the answers either.

Not true, check any AC:WW site. The table method has been working for a lot of people.

this may be a silly request, but it is possible anyone can give a very simple summary of how feng shui works? if there are any general tips to keep in mind or anything; i don't want to interfere unnaturally with the game too much or brave gamefaqs if i don't have to, but i would love some slightly better luck. thanks for any help, or just ignore this if it's full explanation or nothing.

Feng Shui

Let's say that this is the most expanded main room (8x8), and using the following legend:
r = Red
y = Yellow
g = Green
* = either of the two "connecting" colors
_ = No Color

Then this is how I was told you should set up your room in ACWW for the DS:

y y_ _ _ _ r r
y y_ _ _ _ r r
y y_ _ _ _ r r
y y_ _ _ _ r r
y y_ _ _ _ r r
y y_ _ _ _ r r
* *g g g g * *
* *g g g g * *

Note: lower left * = yellow or green
Note: lower right * = green or red

I was also told that certain colored items count for double the usual Feng Shui rating if placed one of the appropriately colored corners.

Edit: For readability, I put spaces between each "tile". Also added in some miscellaneous info.

Has anyone else had villagers move in from random towns they have no connection to? A friend of mine has only visited my town, and only had me visit his... but he says a villager moved in from "Cuemar". I recognize the mention of Treehut in the clothes shop as a Nintendo thing, but I can't think of what Cuemar would be.

Monday Nook turnip price: 74

Not worth your time.

In other news, my Able has the Royal Crown on sale today, for the small price of 1.200.000 bells. I can't pay it, is anyone interested? Keep in mind I'm GMT+1.

The fishing in my town is awesome right now, so I want to let you guys join in on the fun.

I've been catching lots of tunas and snappers. It's snowing, so catching a coelacanth is also possible.

The game has a way of generating "random" towns from which your characters can come from. For those who never play with others at all.

I'm kinda pissed off now, someone who came to my town yesterday may have stolen some of my hybrid flowers, pink roses, tulips and purple ones *angry*

I now have to breed them again, I have a black rose now and no one's going near that!!

Arrrrrgggghhhh

I thought turnips didn't spoil for a week. I left them on my floor for one day, and now they're spoiled. :-/

I bought mine Sunday morning, put them on my floor right away and even now they're not spoilt...did you time travel or anything? That spoils them right away.

Since you can't put them in your storage, the floor simply has to be the place to put them.

Yes, I guess it was because of tt'ing. I wasn't gonna be able to play at a certain time, so I tt'ed there, did some stuff, then set it back. I made sure not to pass 6 AM, since that's when the new day starts. I guess I just can't tt at all when I have turnips. Unless...will tt'ing still spoil them if they are on a table?

I had an insane fishing trip earlier. 2 tunas, 2 snappers, 2 butterflies, plus misc. other stuff (incl. 1 tire and several sea bass, blech) netted me 25,040. No swapping. :)

I have two roomfuls of turnips now, all on tables... I have about 16 tables worth of turnips. No Feng Shui till I make my big money and buy the mansion.

Anyone got any coconuts to spare? My current attempt failed, any advice on how to plant them would be appreciated too. I'm currently planting them in the sand by the beach, or at least that's what I was told to do. Also my nook is taking turnips for 80 today, pointless but just updating if anyone is interested for some weird reason.

Plant them exactly on the border between the sand and the grass. That works for me.

Good feng shui + snow = good times. The first 8 fish I just caught are:

football fish
tuna
red snapper
red snapper
koi
stringfish
red snapper
tuna

Got another question! About the enviroment rating, what does Pelly mean by I need more green? I've been planting more trees but I guess that's not it. Does that mean I need more flowers?

hmm... guys, I think I'll open my gates...
