Man this game never gets old...Ive been playing on the PC lately and playing with a smooth framerate is incredible. I wish more people were online with the PC though as I can never find anyone....but the game is already fun enough as a physics sandbox/playground.
But as good as it runs on a capable rig...there jaggies are an eye sore, is there no way to effectively enable AA in this game?

How does this game run on ps3? Does it run well? As in better than GTA:SA ran on ps2?

The loading times are even more ungodly now. Then you can be driving and it will freeze up for a good 20 to 30 seconds to load the area you are entering. The first couple times you pause you end up with a pause and black screen for 10 to 20 seconds while it loads that menu. Then the phone's first use takes a bit for it to come up.
What's odd is before this new firmware it ran pretty good too.

I know I am late to this, but I decided to get this on Xbox live On Demand, after watching the iGN review on youtube it seemed like a good choice for extra points I had. I don't know I am only a few hours in but I think I expected more. I know this is a few years old game but didn't Assasin's Creed II come out near the same time and that looks so much better. This game does not look so hot for one of the highest rated game this gen. Voice acting is top notch but not liking main character so much. Oh well $30 could have been spend better IMO and now I can't trade it for something.

Im really, really sorry to bump this old thread, but Im wondering if anyone else is having trouble with the social club updating your stats. I finished ballad of gay tony, and then lost and the damned this past summer.
It seems like social club stopped updating gay tony at 65%, i checked last night, and I'm really at 65.3%. TLAD didn't update at all, says I have never played it.
How can I get these to update? All my credentials on the social club settings are correct for xbox live.

GODDAMN this game fucking sucks. I've tried 3 times to beat that damned warehouse mission with Packie and crew, and can't do it. Fist time i went in hot with full health/armor and plenty of AK ammo, doing good, get the package and now I'm in the middle of the warehouse with a NEVER ENDING SPAWN OF ENEMIES, FOR 15 MINUTES. Finally make a dash for the exit in the hopes the story advances and get my shit pushed in like a jailhouse rape because of these shitty controls and the enemies that keep spawning out of FUCKING nowhere. DEAD. Next 2 times I can't even get into the warehouse because the asshole AI keeps dying. FUCK. THIS. GAME. I'm just resound to the fact that I'll probably never finish it.

Had this sitting in steam for years so Im giving it a try
Only problem is I can't rotate the camera with the controller! I have to reach for the mouse to do this!
I tried going into the settings and didn't find any way to set camera rotation to right analog.
Help!

Played the game a month ago with an xbone controller without any issues, so it's probably the dualshock.

Hmm, have you tried making or downloading a controller profile for the DS4 in this game? I think you should be able to do that.
You could always use something like ScpToolkit so your DS4 works as an Xinput device but you may have trouble with Steam controller profiles, in the event of that just uninstall or disable SCP.
I haven't used it recently so my memory of how it works is a little vague but if you just want a pretty much plug and play solution after installation that makes your DS4 work like a XB360 or XBOne controller this is a great program.
