Is there a way to remove your sunglasses w/o visiting your safehouse?
I'm on the mission with the lawyer where I need to be in a suit and I just bought that, but it's not letting me start the mission cause I guess I've got sunglasses on. I only have one safehouse (is there a way to get more?) and it's far away, afraid I will miss the interview time.

Had the most amazing game of free roam with some random today. Racing around Algonquin with a 4 star wanted level. He's on a motorbike, I'm in a car trying to shoot his tires out. Weaving in and out of traffic. Thunderstorm starts just as we pass threw star junction. I <3 this game.

The shitty clothing store right next to your first safehouse in Broker (where you first buy new clothes). It is called Russian Shop on the map IIRC.

One thing Im surprised that they omitted was drinking animation... like when youre playing pool or darts or even actually going drinking for that matter... it would have been cool to actually buy drinks from the bar.

Why are there not more helicopters in multiplayer? I haven't seen a single one outside of free roam.
Also, is there any possible way for Rockstar to do some sort of playlist type thing? Some people get assigned to be host when they're clearly not prepared to do it, and you end up in a 20 minute long no radar team deathmatch with melee weapons only and the whole city as the map
Edit: The least they could do is make it default to good settings, instead of what it is now, the absolute worst

As much as I love GTA IV, I think the next game would do well to pull more from San Andreas' ball park. More customization is only a good thing so long as it doesn't become a job.

The mission 'Paper Trail'. What the hell man.
You're supposed to shoot down another chopper but it's seemingly impossible to hit it. Keeping what seems like the same height and reasonable distance, the rocket just trails just past the others edge. Probably tried it twenty times now, no success.

A few more random observations.
I really like all the emails/radio bits/conservations that reference the stuff you have done in missions. Really keeps the immersive feel that you are a(e)ffecting the world.
I have to do some missions during the day. Even with the brightness pumped it's still hard to see certain things at night.
Chase missions are so much easier with a kick ass car. I had sort of gotten frustrated as I tend to grab random cars to do chase missions but once you get a good one, it's literally nite and day in the difficulty of some of the missions.

I just watched a bunch of videos on YouTube and it's kinda eerie to see NYC streets so empty; it's like the opening sequence of Vanilla Sky.
Also, has there been any word on a PC version? (Alternatively, does the PS3 version support kb/m?)

Does anyone know where to find more of the expensive supercars? Only one I can always find is the Turismo. I want to find the Lamborghini one.

One of my pre-complaints before the game came out was that it appeared to be a pretty sparse situation in some of the leaked youtube videos but after playing it's fine in that regard imo. Too much congestion in fact would make things too hard in certain places which occasionally I have found to be the case in a few narrow places.

Oh yeah. I meant that NYC is so well represented structurally that there's a strange feeling seeing it without all the hustle and bustle that it actually contains. I understand that you can't make the game with realistic mid-town traffic, of course.voltron said:

I think the body language animations, while in the car when holding conversations is very well done.

and I know about the shop on the second island to get the Turismo and there is also one on the first island by the roller coaster. If I want to get another Comet, I usually drive the saved one I got and duplicates appear.

Best GTA mission ever? If not, it's certainly a strong contender. The only one I can think of offhand that comes close is the mission in SA where you finally leave Los Santos, chased by all the cops through the aquaduct, etc.
GTA IV had been... ok for the first several hours. But not great. I was still enjoyinh myself thanks to the crazy detail in of the world (faux internet), the characters (Brucie), etc., but the gameplay itself hadn't wowed me. But the game REALLY came into it's own when I was playing tonight. Two epic helicopter missions followed up by Three Leaf Clover, all the intriguing "Paper Company" stuff, Three Leaf Clover, 5 people to take missions from, the entire map finally being opened up, etc.
I still say the opening hours should be paced better, because it took a little too long to get to The Awesome, but shit, now that I'm there, I'm completely hooked. Game has me by thr balls.

After trying it once and failing, this is the first mission in the game that I actually wanted to stock up on before retrying - usually I just barrel through them over and over until I get lucky and win, but this time I was like "fuck that I'm going in strapped." I bought body armor and $10,000 worth of grenades. :lol :lol :lol It's actually not that hard if you use the granades liberally. Throwing one will always blow up the cop cars blocking your path, leaving just a couple of stragglers left alive.
The whole thing was just... amazing. Nico screaming at the helicopter... the guys alternating between their plan seeming hopeless one minute and brilliant the next... and to cap it all off I was so worried that I would fail getting back home I grabbed the first four-door I could find: a total soccer-mom minivan. :lol :lol The mental image of these cold-blooded bank-robbing killers escaping in it cracks me the hell up.
The whole thing was just... amazing. Holy shit @ sex with the hookers. No actual tits or anything flashing (at least not with the hookers I was with), but the language used and the visual shit going on is pretty intense. I had just been driving around and saw some hookers and thought hey, might as well see how it works in this one.
Paid for the soft core and I was surprised to see a very obvious handjob motion and what was obviously Niko creaming his pants just as she finished. I was surprised that for supposedly the cheapest thing she could do for me it was that intense. Then I pay for the full thing, and they were basically fucking with clothes on in the car, with all the language you'd expect from a porn movie :lol.
Jack Thompson would erupt if he saw it :O.
