The Official Halo 3: ODST Thread

I just got home, anyone still looking for someone in Firefight? I got all the achievements, but willing to help with endure or just do some firefight in general.

Seeing what forge does right now on some maps in Halo3 even in its limited form, i disagree. Forge 2.0 with the ability to make maps a la far cry would be AWESOME!
 
Oh snap, Oh snap, Oh snap

So I loaded up ODST just to mess around with some firefight and I go to hop in the firefight lobby from the mainmenu, and the the map selection is blank and the picture it shows is a part of the 1st cutscene. I see that the start game icon is lit up, so I start the game, all of a sudden I'm transferred into the first cutscene except nothing is going on and I have a freefly camera which allows me to check out the whole opening area from the 1st cutscene, I was hoping to save the film but it didn't show up in my recent films, and I have my capture card now and I'm trying to recreate it. But it was pretty cool to fly around that beginning part.

EDIT: Yes, I was able to do it again and recorded it this time, will try to put a vid of tonight or tomorrow.
 
If by any chance any group is doing 200k on Chasm 10 or Lost Platoon during the next couple of hours, and needs an extra person, just let me know.

After Sons of Anarchy is over in a half hour, I'll be down for Chasm 10. I only have the Lost Plat and inside Oni ones.
 
I remember playing some FireFight with Miller the first week ODST launched and he had told me that Mr. Bertone had actually "one-hit no-scoped a Hunter in the head and it died". I was laughing because the sheer thought of that was amazing, but didn't believe it and he said "neither did any of us at the studio until he did it".

Fast forward to a couple days ago and I ended up doing the exact same thing on WindWard FireFight (normal difficulty). I paused for a second, jumped up and said "OH SHIT".

I saved the film, thankfully, but I'll wait until that new clip-section thingy comes out for Bungie Pro members.
 
So going for Vidmaster Classic. Did not get achievement:

I loaded up Uplift Reserve on Legendary
- I did have AI in Warthog
- Used a ghost
- Honked the horn

Which did I do wrong??

Wow, that's really cool. Can't wait to see that video.

Grabbed the logs today. Liked them a lot, but I want to go back and listen to them sequentially. Is that on HBO yet, Wu?

That involves me walking downstairs, turning the xbox on, and pressing at least five buttons on the controller.
You expect me to do that much work?

They play sequentially regardless of the order in which you find the terminals.

Yeah, putting the logs on my iPhone would be sweet. I found them on YouTube and watched a couple.
There are several kind of throwaway characters. Like the salesman guy? Or the kebob guy?

Those throwaway characters are present individually for certain acts; each act has a unified theme or meaning. The characters are there to provide a thematic backdrop.

Hell yeah, congrats man! That was fun, finally got Endure done and easily with the group we had going! Thanks for showing up and getting the job done guys! Sorry to those that missed out on our group, we got full pretty quickly and started right around 7 EST.

You have access to them from your HUD, just hit a bumper to toggle to the COM tab, and you can listen to them in order.
 
I've getting closer to the end, this game is too fun when playing with a friend. I like that the missions are shorter than in most Halo games, I'm more likely to replay them that way. I just did the mission with Romeo and it felt funny to have Nathan Drake's voice in Halo.

I just did it too, all you have to do is start firefight ASAP when the menu loads. Easy.

Do you have to have a memory unit as well as a hard drive? It just went to Crater when I tried it.

I have a hard drive.

Just boot up your 360 and stick the game in (i didnt have it in when I started up the 360, I swapped discs).

Just button mash your way to through the logos and stuff, when you see the main menu, immediately hit Firefight and you'll see exactly what is seen in Arab's video, the campaign level art loading in the firefight menu.

Edit: The films do not save, otherwise I'd host one in my fileshare.
