Not that anyone is going to forgive me but sorry for being an absolute douche tonight.
You are going to have a child that grows up to be a referee.

Let them celebrate their one day of relevancy.
Damn, KU turned that into a great game in the 2nd half. Prop to them 18 an 19 yr olds or holding on.
Don't be mad if you weren't paying attention the whole season.
Woohoo!
On a serious? note, congrats UK. Here's to your departing senior class, for finally winning a championship! They Did It!
Good game KU fans. KU literally almost killed me with the comeback.
I know. I'm sorry about that.Congrats to UK fans
You are still a douche though.
Now there's screaming and doors slamming. Must find somewhere to hide.
edit: annnd I shit you not, fireworks.
Fucking 14 years is too long
I hope your car is in your garage.
Thank god I love in Louisville. :jnc
I live in Lexington, KY. It's like the fourth of July. Am terrified. I hear ambulances. Pretty sure people are setting themselves on fire.
LOL I can only imagine. It would be great to see some local news footage of what the hell is going in that city.
You guys see this earlier? Cheapside in Lexington has had an interesting night:

If Kentucky had any esteemed alumni I'm sure they'd be so proud right now.
Stay safe man...torch a couch for me!!!!Can't wait to get downtown after one shining moment. I've seen 3 of 8 since I've been 16. Go Big Blue! If you don't hear from me again they set me on fire.
How many UK freshmen are expected to bail after this year? All three starters?
Haters gonna hate.
Sounds like Davis, T. Jones, Lamb are all locks. Teague and MKG after that, with MKG apparently wanting to come back but I can't imagine Cal lets him stay if he's top 3.
I teared up.
Oh please, if you don't think EVERYONE else is going after these players already then you're naive. And you can't just swap in players. You need a coach who can meld all those egos together. Look at Cal's first year. Arguably just as talented as this team, maybe more so, but lost in the Sweet Sixteen.I'll sound like the salty fan of one of the 67 teams that didn't win, but oh well...
Kentucky winning is a terrible thing for college basketball. Now that Calipari has shown that the formula does work, this will only serve to accelerate the nuclear arms race going on at the recruiting level. We will now have a very small handful teams fighting over the few "one-and-done" players which will in turn lead to three or four "Kentuckys" every season with no one else coming even close to their talent levels. It is the new way that things that must be done. Recruit the "one-and-doners" or have your program fade into obscurity. There was once a time great college basketball teams were forged over three or four yeras of playing together, where players developed not only as individuals, but as part of the team collective. Those days are over. The '09 Carolina team was the last of that breed. Why spend multiple years rebuilding your program into a winning team, when you can simply switch out ready-made championship squads every year? At the very highest level, college basketball will cease to exist, replaced by shitty pro ball.
(And yes, programs other than Kentucky have recruited one-and-dones prior to this year. My school, Duke, has had two straight years with a player leaving after his freshman year. But no program puts nearly as much effort into reaching that specific type of player as Kentucky. This victory will inspire other programs to place a larger recruiting focus on the one and dones.)
P.S. Don't get too excited Kentucky faithful, the night is still young and there's still time for the title to get vacated.
