that new episode was awesome. when stenographer relayed the prosecuters message back with the guitar solo, i was done. it kills me this show isnt more popular

lmao, I laughed at that too. I just loved the general cool remarks made in this episode. The writing was awesome, haha. The judge and prosecutor had me laughing nonstop, especially when Muscle Man was questioned.

And I'll be all "GET BACK TO WORK!!"

How can I think every character is the best on the show? Pops and Benson are so absolutely interchangably the best on the show.

And that's not even taking Rigby and Mordecai! Who are the best on the show!!

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!?!

Yeah, he's the only character I loathe, but then again I hate his archetype (the big, disgusting brute).

With this show in particular, it's all in the performances, and I really love his delivery quite often. Especially his escalating glee in "My Mom".

I kinda groan on the my mom jokes though. Thankfully he doesn't appear very often lately save for the basketball episode.

Well, that's the beauty of RS for me. Plenty of stuff could go Full Groan (JSBX LOL) but the performances elevate it.

Like, Pops and Benson are two of the tiredest archetypes ever but holy shit they are magical on this show.

I don't like this development. It feels forced. Plz don't go heavy on the shipping bullshit ala Adventure Time, creators, kthxbye.

Otherwise, this show is fucking awesome and has been absolutely top notch lately and always. Slam Dunk and Monday's ep were so good. I love Regular Show so much. Best cartoon on right now.

I don't know a single show that is as at odds with its creepy and weird shippers than this one. There's not a shred of evidence that any of these weird relationships exist. I think the second your show stars animals, some weird siren goes off.

That said, I think Mordecai/Margaret and Eileen/Rigby are legit relationships being cultivated within the structure of the show and are not at all weird, creepy, or unfounded.

It just feels like they wrote Eileen into the show specifically to build her as a love interest for Rigby, which makes her the second female character like that (since, tbh, Margaret is just Mordecai's crush - and I don't mind that dynamic as long as its funny.)

Just, idk, rubs me the wrong way.

Hmm! Hmm!

No, I can totally see that. I'm pretty sure the whole show is made by dudes in their 20s (and the woman who voices Eileen, who is also a cartoonist) and the show doesn't really do much dimensionally with female archetypes.

they're supposed to be groan inducing, Mitch is great.

True, and it's really not a major deal or even a problem yet, as long as they never put the focus on it; I just see where Adventure Time unfortunately went with that stuff and I hope they don't go down that path as well.

Although this is the better show consistently & overall, so I'm not too worried. Different creative teams and all. :D

Yeah. And I totally know what you mean. I fell off of AT mainly because it felt like so much of it was varying degrees of fan service (even if not directly "ship" related).

Lets not forget rage against the tv, it was the best episode ever. I agree with the dude who said you can't love adventure time and regular show, its usually either one or the other. I find adventure time to be an ok show but regular show just resonates with me a hell of a lot more.
Disagreeing. I find them both quite hilarious. I prefer Adventure Time, but I also appreciate the humor of Regular Show.

lol, yes.

The way future mordercai was run over had me laughing nonstop. Also, the ending was fucking awesome!

Apparently Donald Glover will be in tonight's episode.
Yep and he's not the only one

sounds like a lot of fun

New episode is on RIGHT NOW! :D

Edit:

:lol Rap it Up was fucking FANTASTIC.

God, this show is amazing.

yes. that was a fantastic episode. pops is such a fucking awesome character. when he got distracted by the ice cream truck, i was done. and rigby completely burning mordecai was fucking awesome. mc lyte and childish gambino were great appearances, and seeing as how death doesnt mean much anymore, hopefully we can see more of them.

I really think there are two camps. You really like RS or you really like AT. They're so different in tone that you can like one and love the other but I'm not sure you can love both.

Not finding it funny at all, well that's just odd.

I'd start with any of the episodes with Mordecai and/or Rigby. Those are hilarious.

;D

I dunno, the two shows are clearly different but I don't think the fanbase has to be mutually exclusive. I personally think they are both fantastic shows. Not sure why this particular show seems to be less popular. Maybe it appeals to a more narrow demographic whereas AT appeals to kids AND adults? Whatever. Hopefully the good times continue to roll for a long time.

i love both shows...so there goes your theory :P

I was looking the other day and disappointed to see this wasn't out on dvd yet. Still would rather have full season sets (and the 'My Mom' episode), but this is still a definite buy.

New episode was pretty funny, doing a homage to "Weekend at Bernie's" and that was a pretty crazy drink-induced drug trip.

"Mississippi Queen? Why is it called that?"
*cue Mississippi Queen song*

New episode was great! References aplenty toward Weekend at Bernie's (especially the title) and it was just all around funny.
