Pac-Man CE DX says it's DotW in the Marketplace? But the image is for old Pac-Man, which XBL on the phone says is the DotW. So confusing. I almost leapt out of my chair in excitement. Clearly a mistake though.

And I ended up justifying the 6.99 price tag because of it :( I paid more for it on my console, so $7 sounds good...

My bet: they'll show true multiplayer that comes with mango and some games (ports) that will use it, but it won't be anything shocking like a big Xbox IP for the phone (halo, Forza, pgr).
 
I do not think they wanna steal the thunder of the current games promotional period (must-have games) with some big new announcement/games. Yeah, multiplayer with Mango is a safe bet, but only demonstrated with low level games (Game Chest anyone?).

I would love to be wrong and see a wp7 version of PGR...

They had a PGR for the Zune HD that was pretty good, but I really REALLY want to see the AudioSurf game from the Zune HD on WP7
 
New Windowsphone Blog post regarding upcoming enhancements to Live and detailing a few new games.

· See your played games and unlocked/locked Achievements

· Compare Achievements with other Xbox LIVE members

· Search your list of friends to see who is online and what they are doing

· See your Xbox LIVE messages and Send/Accept/Reject friend requests

There should also be an update to LIVE extras that provide more Avatar customization. Looks like it's available right now!

Edit: Apparently you can buy new Avatar gear directly through the updated app. While that's not too useful by itself, what's interesting is that you buy them with MS points rather than dollars. I know Belfiore recently said not to expect that trend to expand over the entire system soon, but it's nice to see a start.
 
Rocket Riot is really awesome, looks very sharp on the Omnia 7 and plays great.
Bought Bejeweled because I love to relax and enjoy a game from time to time. Any sugestiosn for racing? Need for Speed does not interest me, btw. ;)

hydro thunder would be the only other decent option.
 
The girlfriend has been playing geoDefense for a long time now. Makes my phone kinda hot, but anything that she likes to game is a plus for me. Nice version of the game, even if the cheevos are a little boring.

Must be blind, but I do not see the free version of Breakout on the marketplace, and when I go to the site listed, it isn't there either.

And I've never played PvZ before. Might as well start my first game on WP7.
 
Plants vs. Zombies is up and running well on my Surround. I think this is the third time I've bought the game. Luckily it's still fun! Now we just need Peggle.
 
So glad it's got the Zen Garden; the iphone version just got it...but still doesn't have HD on the iPhone4 so this WP7 version looks fantastic. The iPad version I'm still waiting for that to get the complete PvZ experience.

Works great on the Focus; though takes a bit of time to load up.

PvZ runs and plays well! Crazy Dave convinced me to purchase (second time, already own on iPad).

I never got into the mini game stuff so, coupled with achievements, made this a must buy.

Extremely recommended if you've never played PvZ!
 
I'm surprised about how well Sonic has sold, especially at it's relatively high price. That it's outselling popular games that are 33% the price is pretty impressive. I really want to see some actual numbers on any of these games though.

It's also only for the one week, which I believe is the week that Sonic was released wasn't it? That and if it was on the featured page would probably lead to the higher sales that week, but I wouldn't assume it has necessarily sold more overall than games lower on that list.

Seeing this list shows me one thing: iOS ports and lack of dedication on Microsoft's part. Which brings me to my next app wish: a Forza Motorsport Auto Vista app.

If you don't know what Auto Vista is, it's basically the new car porn mode in Forza Motorsport 4. Here's a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSktmElUauE

It should be fairly easy to realize this on the phone. Instead of rendering the cars, you have rotating panorama pictures of the high res models, pinch to zoom in and out and you can still have all the interactivity, POIs and of course, the narration by Clarkson. Make it happen, Turn 10 and MGS.
 
so angry birds next week. considering i've never paid for the game on android, i may buy it. hopefully we get seasons, rio, and other content.

you are far too hard on ms. that list is spectacular. easily beats android offerings and includes a good handful of wp7 exclusives like hydro thunder go, pacman ce dx, full house poker, the harvest, fable coin golf, and ilimilo. that's a 1/3 of the list being exclusive, that's pretty impressive for a new platform and it will only get better. i'd say by end of the year, wp7's game library will beat iphone's.

Maybe you're right, but I still want that Forza app. :D The Halo lovers can get their Halo Waypoint app and now we car enthusiasts want our Forza app.
 
Got the indication that Twin Blades has a new update. What the hell they are updating on a delisted game? I am afraid to download it...


Edited: nevermind, they changed the blood to green and now it is not a Madure game anymore, it is back on the marketplace...

Back on the marketplace or not, I believe those of us who treasure are red blood should make a point of not downloading this one, eh?

yeah, surely I will not download this update (have to take care to not queue all when updates to other applications come). Actually this is different than other Live services (Xbox, XBLA, GFWL) were you cannot play online if you do not accept an update.
