There was no way ND would do a GC reveal. Not their thing especially when there are games like Guerillas new IP and MM PS4 game that would definately take priority if they talk about a new title tomorrow. ND is VGA (or E3 2014 at latest) material.

Unless we are talking about TLOU DLC.

You mean the one cutscene they showed? I agree it was uninteresting but not terrible. Seemed to be a well done cutscene if you care about that kind of stuff.

They go by the Cerny method where preproduction lasts until two stages are release ready. Game has been in development for a couple years.

There will probably be several smaller titles and PSN titles and one big one. We know the SSHD successor will be there and I expect we'll see either GG or SSM's new IP (most likely GG's).

If there was any chance of them being near showing gameplay, they would have crunched for E3.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this. A typically 'second rate' (not in development prowess, but the types of games they get to make) developer getting their time in the spotlight, and what they will do with that.

Being in development for two and a half years doesn't necessarily mean active development, or that they haven't started over a dozen times.

We'll definitely see Killzone MP, new footage of DriveClub, and something for Second Son. Maybe a trailer for Knack. They need to get new stuff out there to get people hyped for the launch games and to show what the near final builds look like. I expect a big visual jump from E3 for all of the day 1 games. I just hope we don't get another super long Ubi demo.

I didn't realize that was a CG trailer they showed. I vaguely remember "gameplay debut" somewhere and I assumed it was a in engine cut scene.

How does showing a game at gamescom have anything to do with what is coming?

It's stupid to hold back because they need to build up on the momentum and not being aggressive is the wrong tack to take. Potential buyers want to see that PS4 is going to have a lot of game contents.

They will show games after their first batch releases, starting with the VGAs, then GDC, and then on.
