I gotta say, I got Sly 4 from the recommendations from the P1 crew, and it is fantastic! I never would have got it otherwise (no one else is talking about it) so thank ya'll!

Also, is Phil going to get back into the 3DS Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game? It starts off super slow and easy, but once things get going and more Pokemon join the group, it gets pretty fun imo.

Huh. You sure? Maybe I just thought that was going to be the way it worked so the one time it came up I thought that was what I was doing. Like when you're a kid and you think you're playing when you're watching the attract mode of an arcade game.

I don't think the failure of games like Batman and Mass Effect on the Wii U prove that Nintendo shouldn't have chased that audience to begin with. It indicates that their approach at tackling the problem with the Wii U was bad (as was everything about the Wii U's launch), not that the problem wasn't worth tackling.

Yes, I checked again right after I listened to the podcast. Still, it's amusing to imagine someone futilely moving the gamepad and silently cursing to himself.

The problem with using those games to chase hardcore gamers is that hardcore gamers already played those games on a different system a year ago. If we could use magic to make things perfect, it would have been better to seek parity with the 3rd party games releasing in Q1 instead of loading up the launch with ports.

Not true in the case of Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and Assassin's Creed III, two of the biggest games of the holiday season. Those released at just about the same time as on other consoles.

Listened to the entire thing, great show everyone loved the all the guest but I really wanted mike to be on the show :(

Also Audio quality was not what I expect from P1P but it was doable ;)

I spent like 20 minutes on the first youtube link given on Twitter thinking you're all just unprepared. But I checked the twitter account again later when it was taking so long and saw there was another youtube live link.

That was terrible.
You are terrible.

At least the audio version went up fast I guess.

I've been a little distant from the show, as I've been really negative about video games, generally, and the choices haven't really matched up with my taste. (I love the podcasters' analysis, but I need SOMETHING to latch onto every few weeks.)

THAT IS TO SAY, 342 and the Microsoft wake were really, really good episodes.

The complete lack of interest in Reus from the console kids on this episode was astonishing and frankly disturbing. You three should be ashamed.

Nice effort at least Mike. Maybe someone will make a clone with Pokemon in place of the giants and these guys will care.

Trying to open the youtube live stream on iOS is an exercise in bullshit. It works if you type in the address manually but if you click a link it tries to open the app which won't play live streams (on my old version of iOS anyway)

Also, I watched the GB Super Puzzle Platformer quicklook and it looks cool. Reminds me of karimogi

I just wish it had speed settings. When I am waiting for the giants to all mosey on over to the other side of the planet it's a lot of downtime. Kind of makes me less likely to experiment with placements.

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
REALLY curious to hear them talk about Animal Crossing next week. Never played any of them, and given how much their interest has waned over the franchise with each release, I am curious about how the new changes that has everyone hyped for New Leaf will translate with the crew. As a total newcomer with curiosity about jumping in, I look forward to the discussion.

Gotta agree with the crew on Arrested Development too, mirrored my thoughts.
