The REAL February NBA Thread - Accept No Substitute

That's probably the worst game I've seen from the Spurs all year. Wade was hella clutch though. Hard for Bowen to undercut a guy who doesn't settle for jumpers :lol

what the mother fuck? I live in Chicago and the Bulls game isn't on TV.

Fucking LAME. I owe the goddamn NBA a kick to the jalopybox

GOD DAMNIT 5 Bulls in double figures and we're probably gonna lose. Choke fucking city. We had this fucking game

OMFG SHOT CLOCK VIOLATION ABFAUSFSABFASBLF

man, the bulls can NEVER hold their lead. whew. glad we held on to this game.

2-2 is just what i wanted on this extremely hard road trip. now win on tuesday so I can see it.

p.s. I LOVE BEN GORDAN

Glad the Bulls beat the shitty Wolves, now all I need it the Fakers to lose*which they will of course* and the Rockets to whoop on portland tonight.

Lakers need to trade for a PF. The Cavs bigs are getting anything they want....

:lol you want Taylor? :P

:lol @ kobe's 7/22

yeah, bron's not that far behind, but he has more rebounds and assists. and he's a sophomore. stupid kobe.

KOBE THE SAVIOR!

7/22 and the Lakers wi...err lose again.

That 2nd Half was quite pathetic on Kobe's part. Chris Mihm needs to cut down on the silly fouls. Everyone else went back to playing like they were before Kobe went down, No one stepped up. =(

*Thinks about all the missed layups! DAMN!*

Edit: Damn Jeanie Buss is fucking hot!

Wow Bobcats lose a heartbreaker. Battle back from a 12-pt 4th qtr defecit to tie it 99-99 with 12 seconds left, Knicks ball. Tim Thomas shoots a three with 1.4 seconds left, bounces HIGH off the back iron...then drops in. Knicks win 102-99 *sigh*

Tough loss against a great team like Miami. The lack of bench contribution really hurted the Spurs.

A Finals between these two teams would probably be the best since the Jazz/Bulls days.

HOLY SHIT.....

Stoudamire almost owned the Rockets at the buzzer...:o

shot it from half court...bounced off the backboard, into the rim and back out. ROCKETS WIN! ROCKETS WIN!

7 in a row!

Lucky ass portland almost won...:lol @ Miles hitting a 3

Rockets 31-21 :D 7 in a row,Wiz are next.

Also please get the Mo-T for Derek Anderson trade done Rockets, somehow get it to go down.

:(

Playing 42 mins a night is really wearing down on him now. Last few games his FTs in the 4th have been really short or too hard. Thank god the All-Star break is almost here, he can rest up a bit and Gundy better play him less in the 2nd half. HE'S NOT A MACHINE, GUMBALL!

But he is a Lego!

What really needs to be done is that trade I mentioned above,Tmac needs a true backup like Anderson, till that happens he will continue to play 42 mins a night.

oh man, there were so many bad calls against the blazers in the last 2 mintues :/ refs stole the game from the blazers :(

:lol Are you kidding me? Miles goaltending and putting his hand on the rim should have been a tech and it was rightly called and dont get me started on the clock after Wesley missed the 2nd ft,they didnt even start it up right away so Damon had like a year to get the last shot off..2.1 seconds my butt.

What bad calls? I'd really like to know what plays these were and what calls.

1 play, when the blazers were on offence miles did a fade-away..missed the shot but there was randolph trying to box out but yao was bear hugging him and they called the loose ball foul on zach :lol and on the miles holding the rim, if you look at the replay his hand just touched it, he didnt hold onto it...and if they didnt call that, the game would have gone into OT :p

Doesnt matter, you cant even touch the rim when the player shoots the ball,so that call was right.

As for that Yao foul you think wasnt called, thats questionable and I could bring up Yao being fouled 100 times a game and never getting calls.

bah, dont want to argue anymore lol, the game was fun but the stupid blazers need to learn how to play good in the first half

And hit ft's...they suck ass at the line....then again the Rockets were pretty shitty too tonight.

They also cant count on lucky ass 3's by Miles to almost win games for them.

Just tell me, other than Vince last year, who has Bruce injured during his career? Of course, Malone will go down in NBA history, while Bruce is merely remember. That doesn't change the fact that Malone had zero regard for fellow pro players integrity, as long as he got what he wanted.

And I don't have to admit anything, because I don't dislike Bruce. I love seeing him play D, because he works his butt off. If some softies around the league can't handle someone getting physical and challenging everyone of their moves, too bad. This incident will probably give Bruce more of a boost to make the 1st All-Defensive team.

You can be dirty without injuring someone. That could be due to you being lousy at injuring someone, or the other player being alert enough or lucky enough to avoid harm. Doesn't change the fact that Bowen's tatics are shit.

And yeah, this weekend was a great showing for his all defensive team chances...getting 71 points dropped on your head in two games is one hell of a statement. :lol Of course he'll be on one of the two teams anyway, since people who vote for such things rarely watch tape.

WTF, did everyone win by 5 points or less today?

MIA 96, SA 92
CHI 87, MIN 83
SAC 104, BOS 100
IND 76, MEM 73
NY 102, CHA 99
ORL 97, NO 94
TOR 109, LAC 106
DAL 95, SEA 92
HOU 81, POR 80
PHX 106, GS 102

Only games that weren't that close were:

CLE 103, LAL 89 (Which is alright because Lakers = teh suck :P)
NJ 94, DEN 79 (Which is alright because Vince Carter went to UNC :P)
