overtime baby! i was not expecting much of a game tonight, but the celts look GOOD

Wow, West and Banks showed me something tonight. When your PGs are the best hustlers on the court, you know your team is playing well...

Dayum! I haven't followed them much, but the Celts seem to perform really well against the top Western Conference teams. Toine adds a whole new dimension of course.

And the Suns doing mediocre in OT is nothing special, they are 1-2 (1-3 now) in OT this season.

Haha, everyone was talking shit about Toine going back to the Celts, but he's been HUGE in the last two games.

The last two games combined his stat-line is:

57 pts (44% from the field), 23 reb, 8 ast

crazy

Big win for the Celtics. Man that block by Banks was insane. And Walker is playing great! 33 points 13 boards man talk about a great night!

YES people are talking about the celtics in this thread finally! :lol

i've watched nearly every game this season, and this is a whole new team since the trade for walker. they have more energy and are running more. its great!!

Yah we should cool it off on the Celts talk considering how Bill Simmons' next 15 columns now will probably be about them.

I'm still recovering from that Celts win. Whoooooooooo!

My favorite part was during overtime with 20 secs left on the clock and Pierce at the line - he drains the first, does the Q Rich head bump things, and gets into a yelling match with D'Antoni who procedes to get himself kicked out of the game. I was hoping Doc would put Perk in with 20 secs to go to beat the shit out of Richardson for grinding his elbow into Delonte's head after that hustle play in the OT.

And Antoine continues to make my life better.

Bryant is averaging 27.6 points in 40 games this season (he missed 14 with a sprained ankle), up from his 2003-04 average of 24.0. He is carrying the load of trying to carry the undermanned Lakers to the playoffs, something that has earned him the .respect of Marbury.

"Kobe, in my opinion, is the best player in the NBA," he said. "But whenever you play against a guy like that you have to double him, you have to get the ball out of his hands, you have to make him do the things he doesn't want to do."

Does this mean the Lakers will go on a long losing streak? :(

:lol

The KOBEX Curse and now the STARBURY Curse? Lakers players should be happy to make it out of this season alive!

Anyone knows what happened with the Rockets/T-Mac bandwagon? Did it derail around Salt Lake City or something?

Harpring killed it with his jumpshot :(

Ugh, I wish I could have jammed my thumb into his eye after the 329482309842309 straight jump shot in the 4th!

Been working, sick...sprained ankle...and I don't believe I've posted much at all. Still here and alive though.

Anywho...James took a bunch of shots today. Haven't gone back to actually watch the game yet. I'll do that tomorrow since it's my first day off in ages. I want to see how he did. I heard Moochie played too...that can't be good.

new power rankings....i assume

Yay the Bulls still number 8! :D Not sure if I yet buy into the Pistons being number 1 though. O well, you know da Bulls already whipped em twice :lol

The rankings coming out weekly right? Sometimes it just seems like week to week some teams are just all OVER the place... makes it hard to get an accurate read on the team if you ask me.

If the Pistons manage 6-0 on their tough west coast road trip. They are guaranteed the championship. 5-1, guaranteed in the finals.

Just a feeling.

They are 2-0 already. Portland tomorrow should be easy win. Phoenix thursday, Seattle friday, Kings Sunday.

Timmy just bailed our asses in Cleveland.

The Spurs are playing like crap lately, missing tons of open shots, so hopefully this win will boost the confidence. But WTF is up with the refs calling Tim like he was a fucking no name rookie? They respect Lebron more than him. Ugh.

Wasn't able to see the game as I'm trapped in a library right now....I was watchin the score on espn.com tho, did Duncan hit that jumper as time expired? Here I was thinkin Bron would get a chance to win it.

Yes, he made the shot at the buzzer. Tim hit 9 out of his 10 last shots to end the game after a 0-7 start. Clutch!

And Tony did have a great game: 19 points on 50% shooting, 8 rebounds and 10 assists

This team is garbage. Mitch tanked the season by not getting a big....

Konex, just admit that T-Mac is a better player than Kobe could ever hope to be and that the Rockets are destined for playoff greatness while the Lakers are scheduled for the lottery.

While you are at it, you should also declare that Kobe has no chance to win more rings than Jordan and that the Steelers were a fluke and can't win a Superbowl.

He won't say it. Konex says the Kobex Curse is not real, even though we probably have enough evidence to take this to the Supreme Court.

yeah this team would have looked great with a big! imaging if they had a player like Shaq...oh wait.... :lol :lol :lol

Why the fuck would you even allow Kobe to get the ball? I would let anyone on the team get the ball except for him, I mean a layup can't tie the game and they must have known that was coming.

I was saying in chat, even if he has the ball you KNOW he needs a 3 to just tie the game. How about fouling him and taking the game out of his hands? Nah, that would just give your team more of a chance to win. Silly me...

Why the hell are the Knicks not even TRYING to drive to the paint? :lol Knicks are finally playing like that 13th best record in the East.

This sums up Tim Thomas' career, scores 33 pts and chokes away a 13 pt lead to lose a game in Overtime. Somewhere in Seattle, Ray Allen is smiling.
