But then my request was fulfilled ages ago, so I'm clearly biased.
I kind of have been biting my tongue here a bit, but this thread gives me the vague impression of some sort of cyber sweatshop: I personally think the artists should just do whatever appeals to them and if your own request never gets chosen, tough cookies; there's a scrizillion other images on the worldwide web from which to choose. OTOH I haven't really been following this thread, so who knows. I suspect the requests would scare away the artists without some sort of rigid control mechanism to shield them from being pummeled into oblivion.

Atomsk is deleting requests as soon as the avatars are posted. You should still use the list you find in the first page.jrricky said:

If someone looks at the list before an avatar has been claimed, the posted but not yet claimed avatars look like as they are up for grabs. That's why I suggest looking at the first post, if you want to make sure an avatar isn't requested by somebody else. And since jrricky can't update his list every time we post a new avatar, that's one of the safer ways to check an avatar's availability.atomsk said:

Also, I know some may view it as unfair when artists jump the list, but I agree with the earlier person who said that you probably get more motivated artists and better avatars if you let an artist draw what they feel like drawing. Not to mention, there is less possibility of people drawing the same thing in case they don't announce it.

I guess point is, it's really rather fascinating how the different voices of the different artists are coming through even with the severe design restrictions place upon them.

First of all thanks to BowieZ for the compliments... glad you like my style, but i usually just start drawing, inspired by the character and without thinking too much about the design choices!
I had time to modify Raz, i added the belt (don't know why i forgot it before!) and changed the goggles to red (i remember they were red in the game, but the image i took as a reference had blueish lenses...), i hope you like them better now...
Pardon me but adding the yellow outline would be a pretty long thing: i merged the levels and i had to to it from scratch...
