Anyone in Georgia managed to find a copy? I live in Perry and checked Warner Robins and Macon to no avail. (The lady in WR didn't even think they'd be getting it for some reason.) I know Gazerk had no luck but I didn't see any other postings.

Reposted cuz it's on the bottom and no one will see it. :(

Not that its really close to you, but neither the Toys R US at Phipps Plaza in Buckhead or at North Point Mall in Alpharetta had them either...

There's an independant store in Sandy Springs where I was able to buy PGR2 early back in 2003 that I'll try tomorrow.

GAF should release a console. What an attach rate it would have. Xbox Live's hive mind is nothing compared to GAF hype.

Let me know how it turns out. I go back to college next week, so I'm actually completely off this week. Nothing to do anyhow.

Same here. Wouldn't mind going out on an adventure to go get Bioshock, family is getting kinda irritable and I need to get out of the house.

BTW Traveler, where do you go to college?

From what I have seen of the "second level," some ZOMGs are in order.
What difficulty is he playing on? The manly one or the little sissy boy one, and does it look difficult? I kind of feel like spamming him XBL messages, but I'm too tired to be a dick right now.

Same. The anticipation for welcome week + Bioshock is unbearable.

Mercer right now. I'll be visiting Whitman and Full Sail later this year. (Mercer is a temporary situation.)

Edit: Will do, Ace.

Wow you live close to me. I will call around Middle Georgia and will send you a PM if I find one. I expect to get the same treatment from you. :D

He's playing on Normal. You can change the difficulty during gameplay apparently, and there is an option to unlock the framerate.

you know what, i think you maybe on to something here. Because of all this "BIOSHOCK GET!," I got off my lazy ass and drove in traffic(los angeles) in 100 degree weather(I used AC though) to land me a preorder of the LE. I was putting it off till the weekend, but man, GAF has gotten me all hot with Rapture:D

We will get a chance to cool down in Rapture. Believe. I've ordered LE too. I will go and bug gamestop employee tomorrow.

gamertag setup: "joesm0key"

They couldn't fucking transfer my Xbox 1 gamertag over since the account hasn't been active, and they can't cancel the name. So retarded.

This game can't be fully appreciated unless you are familiar with the philosophical premises it is directly attacking. The game appears to be one big F U to Ayn Rand and Objectivism. It is pretty freakin' amazing to see ideas like this incorporated into a videogame.

Can you guys PLEASE put anything regarding the retail game in spoiler tags regardless if its a spoiler? This is killing me.
Actually regarding White Man's comments about the second level:
I'm just posting this to be an ass but really now, why are you reading my comments? This game is awesome so don't spoil it for yourself you dummy.

yes, I fully agree. Bioshock's story, to me, is just as important as anything else

Same here. Us GA guys need to stick together. If I find out this indie store has copies for sale I'll PM you both. (You too Guito)

Heard of Full Sail and haven't heard of Whitman, but I certainly know of Mercer. One of my good friends goes there (though he's not doing too well). It's Emory for myself, in case you wondered.

Anyways, one of my friend's friends works at a Gamestop and I think he's going to be quitting soon so maybe he'll say "fuck it" and sell it to me early. I'll holla at you guys if it goes down.

I know this is OT, but I heavily considered going to Emory. I even went through the application process and got accepted. In the end, financial need dictated otherwise and I accepted Mercer's generosity. I am, however, considering Emory along with the other two colleges I mentioned. I will, in all likelihood, end up at one of the three next year.

How is Full Sail? I mean, is it a real deal school for breaking into the games/movie business or is it just some crazy expensive scam?

I agree 100%. When you enter the complex after the plane crash, and see the big "No Gods or Kings. Just Men" banner, it's just incredible. That banner sets the tone for the entire game. It got me thinking: how many gamers are really going to appreciate this? Like, what % of gamers either a) have read any of Ayn Rand's work, or b) are familiar with Objectivism?

At the end of the day, it is a shooter. You run around and kill things that move. I guess it could be appreciated on many levels.

Have you considered Middle Georgia College?

I asked for information from Full Sail when I was looking for a college. I just decided to stay in San Diego and go to USD, but even after I let them know I was already going to school at the other school, they still continued to call me for up to 2 years.

The Target in Crossroads Shopping Center, Cary, NC didn't have it.

But they did have evidence of having accidentally put it out for sale early - there was shelf space put aside in their glass encased game racks with a sticker that read, "Bioshock $59.99". Can anyone who has worked retail at Target tell me whether it's normal to reserve shelf space and advertise the price for a game that doesn't release for a week as if you had it in stock in the back?
